Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2013
It was pretty good not a fluffy as I expected but pretty good I halfed the recipe and made it 24 servings instead of 48 , And since I didn't have shortening I used butter maybe that was why it wasn't as fluffy Also a little too sweet but i liked it because i made pretty plain cookies , Yum:D BTW 4 1/2 stars :D

Milk Tart

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2013
As far as milk tarts go, these are delicious. I divided the recipe in half and it made 18 delicious mini tarts in my mini muffin pan. I used leftover custard for pudding/custard pops and it was delicious! Do NOT add extra sugar to the custard; the sugar in the crust balances it out perfectly.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
The recipe was good, and the bars were okay but nothing special. ill use a different jam next time since the raspberry tastes weird after a while. I liked the crust though, needs a lil more on top. thanks!

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
Yum! perfect recipe, thanks Robin! Just a couple changes to keep cookies from getting crumbly: add peanut butter thats room temperature, or microwave it before adding. Cook sauce just a lil after adding peanut butter. add about 1/4 less oats than written. Also, use old fashioned oats instead of quick cooking oats for a better texture.

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2013
Delicious! This is one of the easiest desserts i've ever made and very yummy. I split the recipe in 1/2 and assembled it in a 9x6 loaf pan. The only problem was that it fell apart when i was taking it out of the pan, which is my own fault, not the recipes. I will definitely make it again. Thanks Linda!

Six Egg Pound Cake

Reviewed: May 26, 2013
This cake is amazing! With a very crunchy exterior, this cake has one of the softest textures i have ever tasted in a cake. I split the recipe in 1/2 and baked in a 9x6 loaf pan for 45min. My cake didnt overflow and rose to a perfect size, despite my beating air into it with my electric mixer(i think the air fluffed it up more). Instead of a sauce or frosting, i just sprinkled approx. 1 tbsp of sugar on top, which made a delicious crunchy topping. I also coated the pan with sprinkles of sugar after greasing it, which gives the cake a beautiful glaze. This is now my base recipe for a delicious & easy pound cake. Thank you Diane!

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: May 23, 2013
These are very easy and good. I didnt use the cream, just the puff and used another cream on this site called "pastry cream". The puffs, however, are delicious! i added a tbsp of sugar to them, replaced butter with oil(i was out of butter), and poked a few small holes around the 18 min mark. Sadly, i overbaked them and they burned slightly on the bottom. Next time, ill reduce the temp to 400 degrees. Overall though, these are delicious and definitely a keeper. Thanks Shellie!

GA Peach Pound Cake

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
Mmm Delicious! I split the recipe in 1/2 and baked in a 9"x6" pan for 57 min with no changes other than using white peaches(only kind i had on hand). I topped it with a broiled topping. The little bits if warm peach in the cake was like little pieces of heaven, and the cake itself was soft and light. Only change i'll make is doubling the amount of peaches next time. A new favorite, i will make this again and again! Thank you Dent! ***BROILED TOPPING RECIPE: Combine 4 tbsp butter with 1/3 cup sugar(brown or white). Stir in 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, pecans, etc. Spread a thin layer of topping over fully cooked cake. Broil on high in oven for approx. 5 min, until sizzling and slightly golden brown. Enjoy!

Very quick and easy. Not the same as authentic elephant ears, but a terrific recipe in its own. Thank you Terry! ***UPDATE*** These work just as well with whole wheat tortillas.

Chocolate Syrup

Reviewed: May 19, 2013
This recipe is good, only problem being that it didn't really thicken. I increased heat after a few minutes hoping it would thicken which it didn't, so i added a mixture of flour/water(i was out of cornstarch). Very yummy though, perfect balance of chocolate and sugar. Tasted great over the "Fluffy Pancakes" from this website. Mmm!

Chocolate Cobbler

Reviewed: May 18, 2013
I've never had a cobbler before, but if this is what a cobbler is, it is officially one of my favorite desserts. I was very skeptical about the gooey mess i was putting in the oven, but it came out as a beautiful crunchy chocolatey pan of deliciousness! The only change i made was baking for 34 min instead of 30. I also substituted self-rising flour for AP flour+1.5 tsp baking powder+1/4 tsp salt. Yum! Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: May 12, 2013
I made this recipe twice. To the "t", the dish is slightly bland, lacking flavor, and the vegetables get mushy. However, with a few changes the second time, it comes out very delicious. I added more spices for one thing, double just about all of them as well as adding about 2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes. Also, i fully cooked the chicken before adding the vegetables. I left out peas and a few other veggies, just using broccoli, bell pepper, and onions. I also added more spices to the sauce for extra flavor. yum!

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: May 4, 2013
Delicious! Thank you for this wonderful recipe Kelly. I followed it exactly as directed, except i substituted butter for shortening. Also, I used a glass and a orange juice can lid to cut the doughnuts out since i don't have a doughnut cutter. I split the recipe in half, and still got 20 good sized doughnuts after it. Yummy and easy, this recipe was worth the time and effort it took to make it.
