I added less than half of the water called for and it still came out watered down and soupy. It could have been 3 stars but as the recipe is, I can only give 2 stars as I can't imagine why it calls for so much water. Still, even without the water I've had better apple crisp. Edible, but will not make again.

Whole Wheat Bread II

This was a great bread. It came out light and slightly sweet. Since my loaf pan is smaller, I just cut off a bit of dough and used it to make cinnamon rolls. Those were really great too and had a new earthiness to them. I will make this again. To the reviewer saying this is not a whole wheat bread: Technically, it is. It just isn't 100% WH. The term whole wheat is a modifier on the bread just like rye is to rye bread even though it's not made with all rye flour. Most whole wheat breads you'll find in stores aren't 100% either.

Pumpkin Spice Muffins

I add almost 1/2 c splenda to provide more sweetness. The nutmeg is WAY too much in my opinion so I put about 1/2 teaspoon in. I still sometimes have the problem of mushy centers though.

D'Amaretti Biscotti

Too Crumbly! They tasted ok, but when I went to slice them they all fell apart. I maybe got 8 good looking ones out of the whole batch. These were meant to be gifts so I will have to look for another recipe to use. I tryed both a serrated knife and a steak knife. Surprisingly the steak knife worked better.

French Toast I

What a quick, impressive breakfast! I made the Bread Machine Challa I last night and used it for the toast this morning. I used less nutmeg, but I wanted more cinnamon taste. I also added a few drops of almond flavoring.

Bread Machine Challah I

Came out looking perfect! I was a bit worried about my yeast since it didn't seem to rise at first, but once it started baking it sprang to life. I set it on the sweet bread setting which has a shorter baking cycle. It was a beautiful light yellow and very tender. I threw in a handful of rasins and made yummy french toast this morning!

Aunt Gail's Oatmeal Lace Cookies

Wow! I made a quarter batch of these and rolled them into flat log shapes to dip into fondue for valentines tomorrow. I made a mistake of eating one that had broken, and now I may have to make another batch before tomorrow night they were so good! I wouldn't mind since they were just as easy. Edit: These were both my boyfriend, and my, favorite dipper!

Lemon Zucchini Bread

I did modify this recipe a bit: 1/2 c splenda, 1/4 brown sugar. 1/2 cup apple sauce instead of oil, and 1/2 c. whole wheat flour instead. I also made muffins. They were tasty but the texture was rubbery due to modifications. But, with these mods the recipe is 2 WW points per serving instead of 5. The lemon was a nice addition as well. Thank you!

Easy Focaccia

Delicious! I went out on a limb and made this for my mother's bday with no trial runs. eek! It came out excellent!! I am planning on making this again next week. I thought there might be a touch too much salt because it was difficult to spread out nicely, but I finally forced it. Next time I will put the rosemary in before the first kneading instead of the punching down because it didn't get distributed much. On top I put the oil, rosemary, parmesean, and sea salt. I didn't care much for the parmesan though. What an easy, yummy bread!
