Country-Style Steak

Excellent recipe! I like my gravy really thick so i did a bit of a flour slurry when it came out (removed the steaks, took a couple teaspoons of seasoned flour mixed with some of the hot liquid (mixed in a cup) and then added back to the pan, then added steaks back)

Banana Banana Bread

I was not at all impressed with this bread. Did not have much taste to it. Maybe it needed more sugar? I don't even know. Obviously a lot of others liked it. I'll have to stick to my EBNB recipe that I got off here.

Dump Cake I

I didn't have any Cherries so I used Pineapple chunks AND their juice. I also cut the butter onto the top instead of melting and pouring.Turned out wonderfully! I will be making this again..probably without the cherries too!

Cinnamon Bread II

I added the extra cinnamon that so many raters said helped and the extra sugar..it was still NOT that great. Perhaps would be better as french toast or sandwich bread as other have stated. I just tried with some butter and was NOT impressed. Still looking for a recipe :/ Update: I cooked the bread a little longer (250 degree oven) than my bread machine did and the consistency was much better. For this reason I change my 2 star to a 3 star.

Portuguese Sweet Bread I

Great bread! I accidentally added 1/2 cup of sugar and it turned out PERFECT! I wouldn't recommend that for most bread machines though because it will cause it to rise over top of pan....yikes!.. I will be making this again and again.

Cinnamon Mini-Muffins

Muffins were okay. I didn't have any allspice or nutmeg so I used just cinnamon. I used a struesel topping as well, tablespoon each of flour and sugar and half a teaspoon of cinnamon. I put it on top before baking and didn't use the cinnamon sugar margine dip after. It was pretty tasty. A little bland but perhaps because I didn't use the other spices.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Delicious with a few modifications. I added potatoes instead of peas.I also seasoned the water the vegetables boiled in as well as the sauce more. I will try some white wine next time instead of chicken stock. It was dry when I reheated it but not initially..i'll fix that next time. WELL worth it! I will be keeping this in my arsenal!

Oatmeal Shortbread

EXCELLENT! I added about a 1/4 tsp of Cinnamon and a 1 tsp vanilla and it really makes the flavors pop! I even used one stick Light Butter and one stick Regular Butter STILL Delicious..I will be making these treats again!

Brown Sugar Shortbread

Delicious..Very simple ingredients for a college student like myself.I added some vanilla and sprinkled brown sugar on top! Very good and simple. I also followed a previous raters comments and just put it all in one pan and cut them as soon as I took them out of the oven...works great! I will be making these again especially since I can't pry them out of my roommates hands!!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

I'm not a huge banana nut bread fan but this was delicious! I added a pinch of cinnamon to it...definitely enhanced the flavors!! Try it you won't be disappointed!

Chicken Tortilla Soup III

Absoluely delicious!I thickned my soup up with a corn starch slurry (two tablespoons cornstarch mixed with one cup of the hot soup. Wisk together until well blended and then add to soup again and mix) I also added extra seasonings and spiced it up quite a bit. Will make again and again and again!!!!!!

Elizabeth's Extreme Chocolate Lover's Cake

Great...I made this cake for father's day..what a hit. I did have trouble getting it out of the pan, but it was nothing the frosting couldn't hide. I also did a few variations: I put a litte coffee liquor into my ganache and i whipped it so it'd be spreadable..I then covered the whole cake with it and let it set before putting on the delicious frosting...I will make this again.

Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

Absolutely delicious! My family loved it and even ate all the leftovers! They usually hate leftovers. I did add some fresh garlic and a few other seasonings to the meatloaf...delicious I will be making it again!
