My son made these vegetables. We all enjoyed the mixture of veggies and the seasonings. Had with poultry but would be good with any meat.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
Really liked the idea of freeing up oven space. I used only 2 cups of the broth and cooked on high for 1 hour then 3 hours on low. Whole family liked it and the mushrooms are a plus...vitamin D.

Blue Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
This was a tailor made recipe for my family. Some members can't have citrus and most cranberry sauce recipes have use oranges. The blueberries make it special. I may try it with the cup of sugar instead of a half cup as recommended by some reviewers however my husband thinks it's perfect as is.

Happy Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2013
This was fairly easy to make and all ingredients are found in local grocery stores. I used 1 1/2 lbs of shrimp because I had 2 12 oz packages and fresh parsley instead of the basil, for the same reason. For the wine, I used Chardonnay. I will make it again.

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2013
Followed the directions and my husband loved it. If your family doesn't like mushrooms, they'll never know they're in it. Will make it again, grandkids will love it because of the bacon!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2013
This is a pantry recipe that's quick to prepare and has great flavor. I had to halve the ingredients as my roast was only two and a half pound. I used the low setting for ten and a half hours. It was really tender and shredded easily. Next time I plan to add a sliced onion or two.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2013
This is an easy recipe with great results. Kids found it to be a bit hot but adults loved it. May ease up on the sauce next time for the kids and adults can add more to their sandwiches.

This is an easy recipe with everyday ingredients. The sauce was pretty hot, I will be decreasing the mustard powder. Got a thumbs up from the whole family!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2013
I made this ziti as directed in the recipe, adding only a little Italian seasoning to the top. My husband loved it and my son said it tasted like his favorite supper I used to make when he was a child. The two grand kids had clean plates. A total success.

Dave's Low Country Boil

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2012
This is really good and easy. I changed the serving size to 8. Cut up the small red potatoes in forths or thirds, depending on size. I didn't have the seasoning so used a crab/shrimp boil in bag package. Melted some butter for the shrimp and crab and done! Wasn't able to cook outside but plan to do that next time. Family loved it!

Slow Cooker Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
Made this for my family of 6. I used peeled russetts instead of the red potatoes but followed the recipe other than that. They were a hit. My 8 year old grandson said they were awesome and he's picky about potatoes! Using this for soccer practice nights when supper has to be ready when we get home. Love the simplicity!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
I made this chili for a footall game. I did change it up a bit as I didn't have all the ingredients. I used 1 can of red kidney beans plus 2 cans of black beans, rinsed and drained, instead of the 3 cans of chili beans.I used several extra shakes of hot sauce to make up for the heat. It was awesome! We loved it!

Fresh Tomato and Basil Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2012
This is an easy and delicious pizza. Really fresh and a welcome change from the usual sauce type pizza. I made it with puzza dough from my bread machine. One recipe of the dough I used was enough for 2 pizzas. Husband gave his approval as well. Going to make it for the grandkids.
