Over the 4th of July holiday, I tried this recipe out on 4 different groups of people. It was a hit with every group. The first time, I made it exactly by the way it states, using rasberry preserves, and it was great. The second time, I used blackberrys instead of rasberries and used apricot preserves, and it was even better! Ok, hints to make this easier. Go to WallMart and buy Black and Deckers 10.00 chopper. It cut prep time down to about 15 minutes. Also, since the recipe does come out soupy, I let it sit in a strainer for 15 minutes, and that took care of alot of fluid. One last thing, add whatever nuts you want, it makes it even better. I used walnuts, and almonds. I also served it with the little waffle cups, people loved it! The cinnamon chips were easy to make, and using the muffing tin was a good idea.
I will be making this again.
