Easy Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
I have to give this three stars because my hubby and I did not like it, but, I took it to work the next day and shared it with coworkers and they raved over it! I just didn't like the beer/stewed tomato taste. Its back to pork and sauerkraut for me, but the coworkers printed off the recipe! Thanks!

Very good! My only additions were some ditalini noodles and 2 TBL of brown sugar. To add some extra veggies I threw in a can of VEG ALL.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
I would have given this 5 stars, but my hubby requested "my" meatloaf,(which comes straight from the back of the Liptons Beefy Onion soup mix box) a few days later. I thought it was great. The sauce was sooo good! I made it just as the recipe states.

Hot Onion Dip

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
Took this to work on night shift, everyone raved. There were some leftovers so I left it in fridge for am shift. Well, sitting in fridge, it got stiff, so they probably didn't know what to do with it so they didn't eat it. I came in the next night, added a little water, heated, stirred till smooth, and the night shift crew raved! LOL Only thing I did different was sauted the onions. We are nurses, so we had to break out the gum, but we loved it!

I agree with previous posts about rating recipes on this site. Therefore, I made this chili as written, and it is very very good. I am taking it to a Super Bowl party to watch my Steelers kick Cardinal butt. I am excited for everyone to try it, and will post an update. DON'T CHANGE A THING! Doris from Steeler Nation

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This was the best turkey I have cooked. I was a little afraid of changing the way I have cooked a turkey for years, but now I'm glad I did. To get tons of drippings for gravy, I cooked the turkey in a bag, plus put water in the pan the turkey was in. That saves any juice from drying up. Thanks!!

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
I have been trying to get my hubby to like pork roast for so long, and this recipe didn't work either. :( He asked,"What is that funny taste?" My pork was tough also. I guess it is back to the ole sauerkraut and hours of cooking method only on New Years. LOL Thanks anyway

Bacon Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
This is my new way to make chicken, and I will use it often. I poked holes in the chicken, and you could taste the bacon flavor thoughout. I crumbled the bacon in mashed potatoes, thickend the juices with some cornstarch, and what a gravy it made! I also added garlic and onion with the carrots in the bird. My picky hubby even liked this meal. Thanks!

Fruit Pizza I

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
I made this to take to work, and it was a hit. I used a cookie sheet and doubled the cookie recipe to have more servings. I took a few hints from others and this pizza sat out for hours with no sogginess. Before baking the cookie, I spread a thin layer of rasberry jam, and then baked till brown. I used a tub of strawberry creme cheese, marshmallow fluff and cool whip for the sauce. I used kiwi, blueberrys and strawberries. I took the cookie with the sauce on it to work, refrigerated it for two hours, and then put it together. It help up very well. I had left over fruit and sauce, so the next day I layed the spread out with cups and spoons, and my coworkers ate it up! Thanks, Doris

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
I've never made Chicken and Dumplings before, so I had to give this easy recipe a try. It was wonderful! I must have added to much water because there was to much water after adding the bisquits, but a little cornstarch and water took care of that problem. I also added a bag of peas and carrots. I will make this again. Thanks a bunch! Doris

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2007
Over the 4th of July holiday, I tried this recipe out on 4 different groups of people. It was a hit with every group. The first time, I made it exactly by the way it states, using rasberry preserves, and it was great. The second time, I used blackberrys instead of rasberries and used apricot preserves, and it was even better! Ok, hints to make this easier. Go to WallMart and buy Black and Deckers 10.00 chopper. It cut prep time down to about 15 minutes. Also, since the recipe does come out soupy, I let it sit in a strainer for 15 minutes, and that took care of alot of fluid. One last thing, add whatever nuts you want, it makes it even better. I used walnuts, and almonds. I also served it with the little waffle cups, people loved it! The cinnamon chips were easy to make, and using the muffing tin was a good idea. I will be making this again.

Aunt Phyllis' Magnificent Cheese Ball

I was able to test this recipie on two different sets of people. One ball I took to work with me, the other to a July 4th picnic. Both sets absolutley love it! There was no leftovers to carry home with this cheese ball! I used the dry cheese mix, but changed nothing else. Thanks for a new "favorite" recipie of mine.
