Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2004
i love rumaki, but when i made this i had to use items on hand-i substituted turkey bacon and bbq sauce for the ketchup. YUCK! so, i would advise others to stick to the recipe.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2004
Although this recipe was good, it was very heavy. i could only eat 1/2 of the smallest breast of chicken before i had to clear it away. My boyfriend liked it, but thought it was too rich as well and could only be made once in a great while. If i make it again, i will not give it the breaded topping, use a white cheese, and serve it with a tomato sauce.

Orange Pecan Tuna Salad

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
I did not have sweet pickle relish, so instead minced one large celery stalk. Not a fan of garlic powder or onion powder so I did not include these elements. Very good taste, I just served it over whole grain bread. Thank you for sharing!

Tastira (Tunisian Fried Peppers and Eggs)

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
This was very simple and filling. I had thought to alter the recipe and add fried diced potatoes but used the submitters suggestion of serving with a crusty bread instead. Very good, but I think I would like to try it with potatoes as well. Thanks!

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
Dry roasted as suggested by other reviews, then tossed with sea salt and a little bit of Mrs. Dash Hot flavor mix. Terrific!

Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
These were great, I used Pistachio pudding mix, and added dried cherries in place of the walnuts to make a "spumoni" cookie. Loved them!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
Very flavorful, and thank you for the modified crock pot version. I found the sauce to be quite runny, and will omit the cup of water next time. Thank you for adding this!

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
This was fantastic. I opted to split it into two football shaped loaves into a 9x13 cake pan. Covered both with Sweet Baby Rays. Otherwise, I followed the recipe to a T. My husband hates everything and complemented this. Thanks!

Mom's Turkey Sausage Patties

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
This was great! I added sriacha and a very small amount of maple syrup. I did not patty the meat, I just crumbled it in the pan and used it to make turkey sausage gravy. Even my pork eating relatives liked this when I served it for our Christmas breakfast buffet. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
I liked this recipe, but I think I will love it after I tinker with it. I plan on omitting the chicken bouillon, and adding some of the hungarian peppers that I canned a few weeks ago. Thank you for the great recipe. Love the addition of the bechamel!

Lemon Cream Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 15, 2010
These were very light and delicious, I prefer a more sour lemon cake, so I added the juice from the lemons I grated to the cakes and icing. I will absolutely make these again. Great for summer and spring!

Orange Herb Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
I have baked whole chickens before, but this was the best I have ever made. Differences: It took a little over 2 hours to bake, added marjoram, minced all herbs and placed under skin and in cavity. Really great! I usually stuff birds with a heavy combo of bread, egg, dried cherries, and turkey sausage but this was very light and made the chicken very moist. I will do this again, thank you.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
I did not make any changes to the recipe, other than the cocoa I used was dark chocolate. This was fantastic. I added a bit of cool whip to a slice and it tasted like an ice cream sandwich. Great recipe. Thank you!

Yum-Yum Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2005
I followed this recipe exactly, and was personally not impressed---tasted like corn laying in a block of cream cheese to me, BUT all of my relatives loved it and raved over it, so i guess i am just an oddball.

Bacon Roll Ups II

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2004
I do not eat pork, so i made these with turkey bacon. i would imagine the extra grease in regular bacon would make these better. i read the other reviews, and decided to add 1/8 tsp. prepared minced garlic and a sprinkle of onion salt on each cream cheese section before rolling in bacon. the boyfriend loved it. thanks for the recipe.
