Flank Steak Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2013
The only change I made was I used 2 cloves of fresh garlic instead of garlic powder. The flavor of this marinade is delicious. However, there is a major flaw in the instructions as written. You need to take the steak out of the fridge and let it become room temperature before you put it on the grill or your meat will be cold in the middle after cooking for only 5 minutes on each side. I will say this was a little rarer than I like my steak but the flavor was wonderful and I ate it anyway.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2013
I am not sure what I did wrong. I followed the directions exactly, but my cheese ended up in the pan instead of in the chicken. Securing it with a toothpick or something probably would have solved that problem. I also think this was way too cream-cheesy. I will make this again, but I'll figure out a way to keep the cheese from falling out, and I will use way less cream cheese or possibly just replace it with some other kind of cheese. It smelled delicious while cooking, just didn't taste very good.

Mom's Fabulous Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuit Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
This is wonderful! First time making chicken pot pie and didn't have any pie crust on hand so searched for a biscuit top version. So glad I picked this one! It was DELICIOUS! I boiled a package of chicken tenderloins while I sauteed the carrots, celery, and onion, and then just did a rough chop on the chicken. Didn't change anything except I didn't use parsley because I didn't have any, and I used 2% milk in place of half & half (because that's all I had), so I ended up adding a little extra flour to thicken it up, didn't seem to make a difference or hurt anything at all! The thyme is what makes it so good. Turned out awesome, and the whole family loved it, even the man who hates carrots, celery AND onions!!!!!! YUM!

Kitchen Sink Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
This is delicious! The only changes I made were: 1. I used Italian Seasoning instead of parsley (b/c that's all I had), 2. I took other people's advice and omitted the seasoned salt (glad I did, b/c the other ingredients have PLENTY of flavor and salt). This is so moist, better than any meatloaf I've ever had - DE-LISH!!!

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
This was pretty great except 1 C. of bread crumbs is WAY too much! According to me, that is. My boyfriend disagrees. It is very creamy, which I liked, but lacking the cheesy flavor. And like some others mentioned, it's kind of bland. Needs something like garlic or onions added for more flavor! BUT I did enjoy it, and it is easy to make from ingredients we all have on hand.

Drunk Monkey Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
Made these last night and they are absolutely delicious!!! I used 5 small bananas because that's what I had on hand. Will be making these again and again and again. Might try using peanut butter chips instead of chocolate next time.

Cornbread Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2012
I make this once a week for my family who LOVES it! Only suggestion: Cook for 20 minutes, then sprinkle the cheese on top for the last 10 minutes. Otherwise, it burns and isn't as good. I also sometimes add a can of Rotel to spice it up a bit. Also, try using Greek yogurt in place of the sour cream for a healthier version - tastes just as good!
