Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2004
Wow! I am so glad that I tried this recipe. I had never even seen spaghetti squash before and I was shocked to see that it looks just like angel hair pasta. It is a little more crunchy than real pasta but just as good. If you're like me and smother your pasta with sauce anyway, then you'll never notice the difference. And the calories you save will make the little extra effort well worth while. My squash had to bake for 45 min. Also, I added a small can of tomato paste to thicken the sauce and I substituted fresh mushrooms for the olives. Also, I did not add the boullion and I never missed it. I also used fat free cheese (doesn't melt quite right but still tastes alright). Yum! Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2004
This isn't the most flavorful soup in the world, but it is low-calorie and full of vitamin C and fiber. Be careful not to water it down too much. I will make it again.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2004
I omitted the potatoes and added mushrooms, onions and red bell peppers. Yum. I also omitted the olive oil and sprayed with Pam instead to make the veggies low fat. The Lipton Herbs and Garlic mix is excellent.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2004
WOW! This turkey came out so tender that I didn't even need to carve it off the bone. The meat just slid right off. I've never seen anything like it. I used a 10lb turkey and I cooked it first for about 3hrs, 10 min. Then I removed the foil and let it brown for about 35 min. Perfection!!!

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2003
Yum! I made this for Thanksgiving and it was so good. We've always had the canned jelly kind of cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving and no one ever touched it. But this one went faster than the sweet potato pie! I'll definitely make it again.

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2003
This dessert was ok. I wasn't crazy about the cream cheese filling. It was a bit too twangy. But pumpkin bread part was great and the roll looked cute.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2003
I get requests for this dish at least once a week. I grill chicken rather than fry it to make it a bit healthier and less messy. Very easy recipe!
