Pork Steaks

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
Excellent! Used 1/2 a yellow onion, 2 green onions, and 1/2 a sweet onion. So good, my kids even ate it! It is so quick, it was done before my noodles and vegetables! Would be really good over rice as well! A Keeper for sure!

Poor Man's Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
The whole time I was making this sandwich, I was laughing to myself, thinking "I cant belive I'm gonna eat this!" But I did, and it was so good! Weirdest thing I've ever eaten. And I grew up with pickled pigs ears and crackling sandwiches.

Steak on a Stick

Reviewed: May 15, 2010
Love, love love this marinade! I've been looking so long for a good steak marinade. I use Top sirloin caps. I buy in bulk and then freeze them in the marinade. It is a mild flavor, not too much like soysauce, and with just a hint of sweetness. But, I do substitute 2-3 Tbsp. brown sugar for the molasses. Thanks!

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
Wow! I followed the recipie exactly, using the same spices and cooking times, except with a 3lb. roast. It was too rare for me, so I cooked it another half an hour, and then it was well done, which i usally find dry, but it was the best roast ever! Imagine that, a well done piece of meat that is still moist and tender!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2003
This is the first recipie on this site that I'll make again and again! I followed the recipie exactly except I used a little more cajun seasoning, and it was awesome! My husband is the pickiest eater and he loved it too! It has just the right amount of 'bite'.

Tomato Bread Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
I really enjoyed this salad! I used toasted garlic bread cubes instead of Italian, and dried basil instead of fresh. Nice amount of dressing and the bread just softened up a little. Next time I will cube everything smaller, so I can get a little ingrediant with every bite.I am bringing this to the next family BBQ!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
I have to agree with the masses. So good! I wish people would say what kind of sauce they used, cause that makes or breaks this dish. I used pork shoulder butt roast, and used half Presidents choice smokin' habanero sauce and half bullseye original. I also added a couple squeezes of honey. It was too spicy for my son, but my husband and I loved it! I will make this again-my son can have Pogos again! (Im bringing this to an upcoming potluck too.)

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
I didnt change a thing-and didnt need to! Delicious! Well, actually, I did use Top sirloin instead of flank. Flank is pretty expensive here. Anyway, next time I'll use the BBQ instead of Broil.(My bbqs covered in 3 feet of snow right now.)

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
I was looking for a recipie for the saskatoon berries I just picked, but couldn't find any, so I tried this and just replaced the fruit mixture. Its, good, but really sweet. I thought I would love this, since it has a top and bottom crust, (my fav.part) but this is just too much! It definatly needs to be served hot with ice cream!

Mom's Country Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
This is really good-made with butter. I have it with farmer/mennoite sausage and macaroni. (never heard of putting it on biscuits and certainly not for breakfast, but it sounds interesting!) Brings me back to my childhood everytime! This may gross people out, but i like to add ketchup to the mac/gravy. Yum!

Italian Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
Very good. Just the right amount of dressing for the pasta. Thought it needed something, so I added some garlic powder. I think I might cut back on the parmesan next time by 1/4 cup. I also added 1 cup of frozen peas, and next time i'll add brocoli. Probably even better after it sits for a while, so the onion flavor can spread abit. Oh ya, I used calorie-wise dressings.

Beef Fajita Salad

Used leftover strip loin; didn't use the fajita spice. Really liked the southwestern sauce, just added 1/2 cup of salsa and it was even better!

Pretty good. I would cut the cream cheese down, add more tomato sauce with seasoning, mix it all together, top with cheese then bake.

Pasta with Mushroom and Zucchini Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2003
This sauce was okay. It was definatly different. I accidently pureed the veggies, which actually turned out to be quite a nice sauce once I added the cream. It made way to much. Maybe zucchinis are bigger where I'm from, but 10 is alot. I only used 4 and it still made a huge pot full. I probably won't make this again.

This was okay. Taste like hamburgers with warm ketchup and onion. Who knew? Maybe melted cheese would be good on this...
