Butter Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2012
This was pretty good. I used chicken broth and the soup had a nice flavor. I would have liked better directions for how much water to add to the dumplings. I added about 2 TBSP water for 1/2 cup flour & 1 egg (half recipe)and I think my dough was too thick. I dropped by 1/2 tsp into the soup and they came out a little larger than I expected. My husband liked it, but I think next time I will add a little more water and use the German method of making spaetzle by pushing the dough through a strainer to get smaller drops.

Sesame Seared Tuna

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
Excellent recipe. I made this for dinner tonight and it was a hit. The only change I made was I substituted Agave nectar for the honey because my husband is diabetic. Served with a rice salad of jasmine rice, julienned carrots, peas, diced red onions and thinly sliced jalepenos. I will make this again.

This is a great recipe. I've made it several times and it's good warm or cold. I serve it topped with shredded chicken, carrots, cucumbers and sesame seeds.

Tropical Grilled Pork Chops

Wow! This is a great recipe. Tangy and not too sweet. I didn't have any mango so omitted that, but still great flavor. Will make this again.

Halibut Provencale

Great recipe. Nice fresh taste. We didn't care for the bread crumb topping, so will leave that off next time. But other than that, we loved it. Will make this again.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
This a great recipe if you like thick crust. We like thin crust, so I cut the recipe in half, except for the yeast which I cut to 1/2 tsp. Skip the first step. Mix all the dry ingredients, then add the oil and warm water and mix with a fork until just moistened. Form a ball, cover and let rest for 5 - 10 minutes. Follow step 3. Voila! The perfect thin crust.

Tangy Shrimp Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
Good flavor but consistency a little soft. Next time I will cut the mayo and sour cream in half. I served the shrimp on the side because I have friends that don't like shrimp, and it worked out great as a build-your-own cracker topper.

Southwestern Turkey Soup

Great recipe. A welcome change from cream and gravy based leftover recipes. We like spicy so I used jalapenos in place of the canned chilis. Will definitely make this again.

My husband loved this. Will make it again often. Also works well with brown rice in place of quinoa.

Excellent recipe! A great way to use left over chicken. I topped with fresh cracked black pepper and red pepper flakes. Definitely a winner.

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
Wow! This dressing is great. I agree with other reviewers that the sesame oil is essential, and I cut back to veg oil to 2 tablespoons. Other than that, fabulous.

Roasted Potato and Garlic Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
I thought this recipe would be good because I like all the ingredients, but it was surprisingly unpleasant. Potatoes swimming in too-sweet sauce. I may try this again with a german potato salad type dressing. Thanks for the roasted red pepper and garlic suggestion. Those turned out great.

Cherry-Cornflake Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
If you like a cake type cookie, this recipe is ok. I prefer something a little more chewy.
