Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pao de Queijo)

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
Really simple, really good, and totally satisfies the bread craving. Tried it a second time with sugar and cinnamon instead of garlic and cheese...must have done something wrong because they turned to a strange sort of hard jelly inside. Maybe I'll stick to the original recipe. Lol!

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
One of my absolute favorite things to eat -ever! I added (per reviews advice) warcestershire sauce and garlic powder to the cream cheese, boil the jalapenos to take the crunch and the bite out, and cook the bacon almost completely before wrapping. I also added a thin strip of seasoned, cooked venison to each before throwing them on the grill. Everyone who tried them said the same thing..."This is literally the best thing I have ever eaten." The one down side is that it takes for-ever to make!! I think it will be a holiday recipe that will be made by a handful of people together to make it go faster (more fun that way anyway!)

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
I wasn't all that impressed but my husband actually asked me to make it again, so maybe it's just my own personal taste.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
Amazing! After tasting this recipe, I don't think I'll ever make butternut squash in the oven again. I am going to make it to bring to my mother-in-laws for Thanksgiving next week...THAT'S how much I like it. Lol!

I was so impressed at how juicy this turned out! I cooked it on high for less time, too.

Sausage Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
My husband said he could eat this for every meal. (he asked if I would add peppers to it next time, though) I thought it was missing something, too.

Pork Roast with Thyme

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
It was good but the flavor didn't soak in, making most of the meat tasteless. Had to season on the plate...For some reason this didn't make good leftovers, either. But still liked it...so 3 stars.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
I've made this quite a few times and we love it. It's nice to have something you can throw together quickly in a pinch. I added some rice noodles and peas last time and it tasted strikingly similar to Ramen. Lol.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
Loved the juice. I used the Brazilian Cheese Bread recipe on allrecipes instead of french bread since it's gluten free and super easy. :)

Venison-Bacon White Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
I altered this some because of a special diet I'm on (blood type diet) and we loved it! I didn't add the corn or bacon. I added lima beans. Added an extra pound of venison and an extra 2 cups of broth. Didn't add all the extra seasonings to the venison. Only put in 2 tsp salt total and used low sodium broth. (salt was just right) Looking back I would only add 1 to 1 and a half tsp of cayenne pepper and I would have maybe added another can of beans. Served with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. A-mazing. Even my toddler ate it!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
It was very easy and came out tender and flavorful. But wasn't what the title implied. Maybe add some water to the bottom of the pan to get some more juices.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
Very tasty. Everyone said it was better than their own recipe for the same dish. The coating fell off of parts of some of them but altogether it was really good. I'm not big on pork chops but I really enjoyed this.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
This was so easy to make and we absolutely LOVED it! My mom is NOT open to new things and she said she doesn't know that she'll ever make regular pumpkin pie again. Now THAT'S somethin! And my dad immediately asked where we got this amazing pie. People were pulling pieces of it out of the fridge and walking out the door with them with no plate... That's how you know it's good...

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
I used 1 tsp chipotle instead of 3 Tbs and it was perfect. Also did add more onion and garlic powder. Really good. Had a 2 1/2 lb pork loin roast and cut it into 3rds. They were tender but took a long time to cook through. Next time I would cut them thinner.
