Squash Medley

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
4 out of 5 stars for this dish. It is easy to prepare. The squash, onion turned out to be a great combination. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because the spice with the brown sugar tasted a little sweet to me when combined with the squash. This is a great recipe for summer!

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
This recipes is very easy to follow. Like the other reviewers I also used the Panko and Italian seasoning instead of the sage and soft bread crumbs. The Pork chops turned out to be crispy outside but the inside is a bit dry. I don't know what I can do to improve the dryness. The overall taste is pretty good.

Comforting Cube Steaks

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
The sauce is good. I didn't have cajun seasoning so I used garlic salt & powder and a little bit of salt instead. The steaks turned out to be tender and juicy. And my kids and husband did not complain about the sauce at all. I gave it four stars and not 5 because I felt that I used some much ingredient just to make a few pieces of steak is kind of a waste.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
I will give this recipe 5 stars for easy to prepare and 5 stars for making my husband and my kids happy. I got the chicken and sauce all mixed up in the slow cooker this morning. It took me like 10 mins to put it together and I left to work. Since I had to stay late at work, I was not able to try this chicken. I called my husband on my way home from work and he said there was not chicken left for me. I am so surprise because my husband and kids are picky eater and my husband himself alone ate 7 pieces of chicken. I cannot believe that! This must taste very good. I will definitely make it again so that I can eat some myself. Thanks for the great and easy recipe.

Asian Roll Lettuce Wrap

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
I think this recipe taste okay to me. It is not something thatI would make it all the time. The turkey doesn't have too much taste to it. I don't think the PF Chang wrap is so great so maybe that is why I don't like this that much.

White Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
Very nice white sauce. My kids always like "red" sauce on their sphagetti but this time they said they loved the "white sauce". The texture is just perfect for the seashell pasta. I didn't even add salt and it tasted great. Thanks for the great recipe.

Poke Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
this cake is soooooo moist. I am so surprise that it is so easy to make. I love plain cake like this. Next time, I will try to put some peach inbetween the layers and also use peach jello. I think the peach favor will compliment the cake so well. Thanks for the recipes. I can almost eat the whole cake by myself.

Whipped Cream Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
This is my first time to bake a layered cake, I don't know what to expect. I used a cream cheese whipped cream frosting to bind the two layers together. I think it looks great but it doesn't taste like what I have expected. The cake is a bit dry and burnt but I followed the recipe 100%. My husband and kids love the cake but I am a bit disappointed because I thought the cake would be moist.

I would say this is a bit on the salty side. Sorry that I don't really care for it too much.

Almond Meringue Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
My comment is "I don't know what I have done wrong". The egg white never whips into stiff form. It is just liquid. I cannot put it onto the baking sheet b/c it is all liquid like milk. I whipped that eggwhite for over 10 mins and my ears almost fell off (the electric blender was too loud) but it was still like egg white. I bet it will taste good if I can bake it because the mixture taste good.

Boiled Tongue

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
I like ox tongue too. this is a good recipe. I used to eat ox tongue a lot when I was in Hong Kong. We usually serve it with curry and rice. One suggestion I would like to make about the marinate is to use beef broth, onion, cabbage, salt, carrot and have the tongue boil in it for 3 hours. My one problem is that the inside of the tongue does not have too much taste because the tongue is so big and it is hard for the favor to get through.

Creamy Caramel Flan

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2003
Oh, this is soooooo good. It is not that hard to make either. I love the "not too reach" and "not too sweet" taste. My 2-yr old son usually doesn't like sweet stuff but he loves this flan so much. He called it,"ice-cream." I love this recipe and I will definitely make it again. The only thing that I am kind of worry about is the baking part. When I bake the flan in the oven, smoke (or maybe it was steam)started coming out from one of the stove burner on the top of the oven. Anyone out there know why?

Delicious Curried Manapua Puffs

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2003
I made this for my company potluck last week and it was such an embarrassment. People didn't like it and I don't like it either. It is way too dry. I think it is the problem with the dough. It is salty and dry. I made about 50 and 25 left over. Some people took a bite and threw it away. It was awful. I am sorry that I have to say this but it is really not good.
