Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: May 10, 2006
I have been a member of Allrecipes for 3 years and this is the first recipe that I have ever reviewed, It is FANTASTIC. I am not a fan of PUDCake but this really is good, especially warm from the oven. I think that the secret to taking the box taste awy is mixing well then letting the batter rest to disperse the bubbles. Also bake a little longer than the box says.

Tilapia with White Wine Caper Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2006
This is one of the best fish recipes I have ever tasted. I served it with sauteed spinach and tomato and feta salad. I added lemon juice to the sauce because we drank the wine, but it was still awesome.

Rosemary Braised Lamb Shanks

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
Recipes such as this are the reason that I love allrecipes! This is a superb dish. The lamb is meltingly tender and flavorful and the sauce is veltety and lush. I seasoned the meat with seasoned salt, pepper and rosemary, and let it sit overnight. I also used about 1/2 of the wine called for but other than that I followed the recipe closely. Thank you for sharing this restaurant quality dish. We love it.

Mushroom Liver Pate

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
I love this spread. It so reminds me of the dinner parties that my parents held when I was a child growing up in Milwaukee. Works quite well on cocktail rye. I sometimes add wee bit of grated onion.

Simple, yet tasty stir fry. I use a few cloves of garlic and add whatever fresh vegetables that I have on hand. I also add garlic salt and pepper at the table.

Texas Christmas Pickles

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
My family loves these pickles! I add a few quartered jalapeno peppers for heat. I also used half the sugar called for with no discernable change in taste. Great Recipe.

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
This is a super recipe. Authentic taste and texture. I tweaked the recipe just a bit to accommidate our tastes by adding a chopped serrano pepper for more flavor and heat, however the recipe really is great as written.

Three Chile Dry Roasted Tomatillo Salsa

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
Love, Love , Love this salsa recipe and I live in Texas, home of Tex-Mex. I use it when I make my enchiladas suisas and serve it with grilled lime chicken as well. I roast the vegetables in the oven so that I don't have to watch them too closely.

Indian Tandoori Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
This recipe is fantastic. Use a charcoal grill for the most authentic flavor. Alternatively you can bake in the oven for a not so authentic, but very easy and satisfying meal when served with rice and veggies.

Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
This is a great base recipe. The chicken comes out flavorful and tender. I knew to add my favorite seasonings for chicken, salt pepper and cayenne to suit our tastes. Without these the recipe would be a bit bland.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
This is a very tasty recipe, I only used 1/2 of the sausage called for because I was afraid of it tasting like pork, and drained the meat really well to cut the fat. I also upped the spices to appeal to our palates and we were incredibly pleased with the results.

Restaurant-Quality Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
This was an interesing recipe. It was a bit thicker than I prefer and I thought that the taste was off abit from the instant potatoes. My husband on the other hands loved it. The next time I may just puree some of the potatoes to thicken the soup instead of adding instant potato. I would also use much less onion as the onion flavor was very pronounced.

This a a real winner. I was out of eggs so I coated the chicken in mayo then dipped in crumbs, it was the absolute juiciest chicken I have ever prepared. Served with mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli for a easy yummy meal. Definately a keeper.

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
Superb recipe, I did adjust it to suit our tastes by sauteeing a half small onion with a few chopped mushrooms and a large clove of garlic in EVOO to add moisture and flavor. I served the burgers on whole wheat buns with a microlayer of FF mayo and fresh spinach leaves. Next time I will make a Tzaziki sauce to serve with them. This recipe will definately make it into our regular rotation. Yummo!
