Great recipe. The only change I made was to add diced ham to it. Very tasty.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
Loved it but found the dough to be a tad wet. I added another 1/4 to 1/2 cup of flour. They also work well rolled in granulated sugar as well.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
Loved this easy yet flavourful cookie. For some reason they all didn't crinkle up but that didn't affect the taste. The icing sugar seemed to melt into the cookie so I sifted more over them after taking them from the oven. Definitely a keeper!

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2013
Quick and easy. The only change I made was to add some garlic and celery. I fried it on a non-stick griddle to save the extra fat content. Very nice. Will make again.

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2012
Great soup. I altered it based on ingredients on hand. Instead of chicken stock, I used juice from my boiled ham dinner; I also used some cooked veggies from the dinner as well (cabbage, carrots & turnip); all other ingredients were used but I used a whole can of diced tomatoes. Will definitely make this again.

Chocolate Zucchini Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
Very tasty! I did not have cardamom so just left that out. I had closer to 3 cups of zucchini so I added an extra cup of flour but left everything else the same. I'll be making these again!

Chocolate Crackled Cookies

I followed the recipe as written except I didn't refrigerate the dough. It was soft but workable with a delicate touch. Very good cookies!

I discovered I had no lemon juice and substituted some vinegar. It still came out quite tasty. A quick and easy meal.

I doubled the amount of vanilla as suggested by others and also added a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. Very easy and quick to make.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
An excellent cookie batter. I find rolling the batter between two sheets of wax paper takes away the need to use flour or powdered sugar on the dough.

Maple and Ginger Baked Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
I use a half pound of bacon diced and fried in place of the salt pork. I sometimes use all molasses instead of the maple syrup. No matter how you make this one it is a keeper and tastes delicious.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
I doubled the cinnamon like other reviewers suggested. I like each slice to be equally saturated with the egg mixture so I arranged my bread in a jelly roll pan and poured the mixture over all the pieces at once. I let it sit a few minutes and flipped the bread so the tops could soak up the remaining liquid. I fried the bread on a non-stick griddle with no extra oil or butter and the results came out great. Definitely a keeper.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
Very tasty and moist. I doubled the recipe, reducing the sugar by a cup, and using apple sauce in place of half the oil. Makes great muffins as well.
