My cooking tragedies
If you are ever lucky enough to encounter live Langoustine, they come with rubber bands around their claws, as they tend to nip at you. The claws being rather small are only useful for stock, however, very nice stock indeed!
Do not be tempted, as I was in my much younger less enlightened days, to leave the rubber bands on when you make your stock. You can imagine the flavor!!
