Moroccan Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2003
This recipe was so easy and delicious! I cooked it for my boyfriend, and he thought I was some sort of domestic goddess. And you know what? It was even better the next day as leftovers.

Chicken Paprikash I

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
Yum! The chicken is so tender, and the sauce is not overpowering, but creamy and spicy. I added a little cayanne to mine, but it would be good either way.

One-Pot Pasta With Tomato, White Beans and Pesto

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2003
Good food! My boyfriend and I agreed that the tomatos were kind of yuck, though. Perhaps something like mushrooms would be good. We also threw in some grilled chicken. The pasta cooked in broth definately makes this dish!

Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2003
This was a great, quick recipe that I made a few changes to. I drained the chickpeas and added a can of chopped tomatos, instead. It really added to the flavor. Plus, I added more cayanne and cumin. In all, it came out great and tasted just like the curry that is served in an English pub. Yum.

Cafeteria Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2003
Not too good. I really thought this would be great, but the worschestcher sauce yucked up this recipe. My boyfriend and I had a good laugh over it. Bottom line, don't mess with a good thing.

Chalau

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2003
Pretty good hearty meal. I added potatos, and it was really very nice. The spices seemed odd, but complimented the lamb nicely. The only thing I'd do different next time is add some broth or tomatos, or something with more juice. It cooked down a little too much for my taste. I will definately make this again.

Ken's Spicy Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2003
This recipe was very tasty -- AND HOT, but a little too soupy in the sauce for my liking. I will probably add some cornstarh mixture to thicken it up when I reheat the leftovers.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2003
Wow! This turned out great! I live in an apartment and don't have a grill, so I baked it, and it was perfect. Served over jasmine rice with some veggies -- YUM.

Alfredo Light

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2003
This was a great way to make a lower-fat cream sauce. I used cornstarch, like was suggested in some of the reviews, and it came out nice and creamy.

Easy Roast Leg of Lamb

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2004
This really is a special dish. It made my apartment smell so good, and I had my mother-in-law asking for the recipe.... that's how cooking should be!

Pot Sticker Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2004
Not my favorite. They had great flavor, but I would prefer using raw ingredients and steaming them together in the wrapper. The pre-cooked chicken mixture had a funny texture, unlike what I'm used to with potstickers.

Maryland Crab Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2004
Wow! Super good. I've made versions of this in the past, but this was the best. I added some haddock and potatos in addition to the regular recipe, becuase we like a meal-like soup. We ate the whole pot in one day! mmmm.

Mini Eggplant Pizzettes

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2004
So good! It was a welcome change to my regular salad for lunch on S.B. However, I gave it 4 stars because it was tricky to make in my office toaster oven.

Jambalaya

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2006
I made this vegetarian by subbing veggie stock for chicken and using boca products for the meat, and it was soooooo good! What a nice change in pace. This will definately make it in the rotation!

Easy Focaccia

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
I wished the bread had more yeasty-quality, but good all the same. Will make again, but will probably let it rise differently. Husband loved it as a sandwich bread the next day!

Sour Cream Chicken Paprika

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2007
I love this dish, but next time I make it I will definately temper the sour cream because it kind of curdled from the heat -- still ate it, and still delicious!

Veggie Goulash

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
we really liked this! I served it over buttered egg noodles and used crumbles for the protein. Next time, I will change the order of the MOP, though -- I would add things at different times, but really good all around!

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
Loved this! I was a little apprehensive because of the lack of b. powder and lots of oil, but this was the nicest bread witht he best flavor and texture. Even my picky veggie-loathing husband ate it up. Cinnamon was a nice touch.

Chiles Rellenos (Stuffed Peppers)

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
Nice flavor, but very labor intensive, and they tended to fall apart. I saved most, and they were pretty good. Also used veggie crumbles instead of meat.
