Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
My husband really loved this sauce and it was so easy to make! It's also so simple to adjust the quantities, and make it more spicy!!

Cucumber and Olive Appetizers

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
My husband went crazy for these, but I think they needed a little more flavor. Maybe it was the rye bread I didn't like. Next time I'll use another type of cocktail bread and maybe some more blue cheese and less cream cheese. Good recipe!

Turkey Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
This was wonderful with a few additions: added 1/2 cup of chicken broth to carrot/turkey/onion mixture and let it cook off just a little before putting in the oven to retain moisture, but still kept bouillon in too; Chopped carrots and sauteed with the onions at the beginning so they would soften; Added canned peas and used fresh mushrooms; Roasted 4 cloves of garlic by drizzling with olive oil, placing in foil and putting in the oven until cooked through. Then mashed cloves in the mashed potatoes; Added sour cream, about 1/3 of a cup, to the mashed potatoes; and Added a little garlic powder to mixture.

Puttanesca I

This is a wonderful puttanesca! It tastes just like the one my grandma made when I was a child. I wouldn't change a thing and highly recommend!

Very delicious marinade. Used it on a ribeye steak marinated for about 8 hours then grilled on the George Foreman grill.

Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2004
Made this one for lunch and grilled it on my george foreman grill. I added the pineapple like the other reviewers did, but it still seemed alittle lacking in flavor. It was super easy to make, filling and healthy so I gave it 4 stars.

Baklava

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
Really enjoyed this recipe. I used walnuts, but plan to use pistachios next time. Also, I think I made it alittle thin, so I'll do at least 8 or 9 layers next time, and I shredded some phyllo for the top. Finally, the recipe makes ALOT of syrup, I'd probably cut this in half next time.

Peanut-Ginger Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
This was a wonderful recipe. I marinated the chicken overnight and then grilled it on my george foreman grill. I served it over a can of la choy fancy chinese vegetables mixed in with oriental seasoned ramen. It made for a great thai inspired noodle bowl.

Chicken Diablo

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2004
Great spicy dish! My husband loved it but next time I won't fry it, but either stick it in the oven for 30 minutes or put it in my george foreman grill.

Quinoa with Sweet Potato and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
Loved this! I did add a little cinnamon towards the end, and will reduce the cayenne just a tad next time I make it. Overall this was a great dish!

Rocky Road Squares

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
These turned out great. I cooled them for about 15 minutes, sliced them and then placed them on wax paper. I then cooled them in the refrigerator seperately so they'd harden. They were then perfect for packing up and transporting!

Salsa Borracha (Drunk Salsa)

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
I was simply not impressed. The beer almost ruined the flavor for me and there was NO spicy to this salsa.

I marinated the chicken for 2 days in the fridge, then grilled it on my george foreman grill. It came out delicious, would definitely make it again!

For two years I have made Thanksgiving dinner with this recipe and got rave reviews. Sometimes I add green olives into the stuffing. Great recipe.

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
This is a great classic recipe and really makes a wonderful tiramisu. The only problem I saw was that the Tiramisu really has to sit longer then then even 5 hours for the taste to really be there. I'd recommend keeping it in the fridge overnight! Also, I needed more espresso then what the recipe called for. I ended up lightly dipping each ladyfinger in the coffee instead of drizzling. Will definitely make again. Thanks!
