Mexican Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2005
This was absolutely delicious. I will make this again and again. I served it with Spanish rice and tortillas. It was a big hit.

Spinach and Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2005
This was really easy and really good. I thought 7 cloves of garlic seemed like a lot--but it wasn't. I used a little less than 1/2 lb of pasta and threw a tomato in at the end. Really good and simple.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2005
These are good but always come out too watery. The second time I made them I did not add the water and it was still thin. The combination of ingredients is good but the recipe needs to be adjusted somehow.

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
This was not soup. This was black beans in spicy black watery-ness. I was able to salvage the beans by making Vegan Black Bean soup from this site, which, by the way, is really good. I won't make this again.

Beef Teriyaki

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
I used round steak, fresh garlic and added some crushed red pepper. My roommate saidit was just as good as Chinese food and my boyfriend said it was better because you actually got some beef. I will make this again.

French Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2005
This was really good; I did as other suggested and let the meat simmer for an hour before adding the veggies. I also added onion. I accidentally subbed a can of stewed tomatoes for the diced and it was really good. But I never got a gravy like consistency and had to add a little corn starch, thus the four stars.

Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2005
My tenderloin was just a little over a pound and it took like 45 plus minutes to cook. Everything else was done and getting cold as I waited for the pork.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
This was really good. easy and fast. I will definitely make it again. We added more jalapenos than it called for. Lots of heat but really good. We put sour cream in the bowls and skipped the cheese cause we didn't have it.

Beer Batter Fish Made Great

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2004
I use this all the time now. I use perch instead. We all think it is better than the fish fry in any restaurant around town. (Side note: I liked it better with High Life than PBR.)

Navy Bean Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2004
This was good. Pretty filling and healthy. I did not add as much worcestershire as the recipe calls for--I ran out and plus my roommate hates it. Added carrots. It makes a lot, which is good but after a few bowls no one else was eating it but me.

Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2004
This was pretty good. I used brown rice not white--healthier. Could use more spices/veggies to turn it into more of a meal.

Zesty Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2004
I thought this was a really good way to make tuna salad less fattening. I did not add all the onion though. It seemed like a lot for 1 can of tuna. I will definitely continue making it this way. Yes, it was a little drier but it was also less fattening. I'd rather it be a little dry...

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2004
I am only giving this 4 stars because the rice didn't really turn out; which may be because I used brown rice. Maybe I needed more dill? Otherwise, this was awesome. I totally agree with those who said to make a lot of sauce. It is really tasty. I will definitely make this again--perhaps whenever I make salmon. Very easy too.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

We all loved this. My boyfriend said it tasted like restauant soup and friends who don't like mushrooms somehow ate their entire bowl. I used all portabellas.

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2004
i sort of butchered this recipe--cut in half omitted the celery salt cause i didn't have it and probably used way too much of the dry mix because i didn't measure and it still turned out great. i made pasta salad and didn't have enough dressing so i whipped this up. it was great.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

This is awesome. I brought it for a winter party and it was refreshingly different from everything else on the appetizer table. I have had many requests for the recipe. Love it.
