World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
Yummmo.made a double batch because I had 8 adults and 8 kids. Didn't need to double it. Make sure to use a DEEP lasanga pan.. it wont fit in a regular 9x13 pan. I made it 2 mitts before and kept it in the trudge tip I was ready to cook. Everyone loved it. I took the advice of others and soaked the noodles for 30 minutes instead of boiling them....awesome. ill never boil them again. Much easier to work with. I simmered the sauce for about 4 hours. My new lasanga recipe.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
I multiplied the recipe by 4 to make half a sheet pan batch of brownies. I only tripled the frosting and it was plenty. Next time I will only double the frosting recipe. I heated the froating on the stove and added a little milk to thin it out so I could just pour it on. Oh.. and I baked the brownies for exactly 25 mintues...turned out great. Will never use a box mix again.

Southwest Summer Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
I will never cook a pork chop another way....it might be 40 below outside and I'll still go out to grill these They r that good. I didn't have minced onion so I used onion powder. Super yummy. My 2 year old girl ate half a chop. Thanks for our new "go to" recipe.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
YUMMY! I only use 1 lb of ground meat....both beef and turkey work well with this recipe. I spread the beans on the torillas instead of mixing them in with the meat mixture. I split the batch: I buy the throw-away deep dish pie pans, it makes two heaping pies. Then I cook 1 and freeze 1. My husband is proud to pull it out of the freezer and "cook" dinner for the family. Very Very yummy!. Each pie easily feeds a family of 4; add a side salad and waaa-la. YUMMY

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
The best apple crisp recipe I've found. I was worried about not have an oatmeal crust, but this was soooo much better. I split the sugar and did 1/2C of white and 1/2C brown. I also cooked it in individual dishes for a better presentation. Took about 40 minutes in the oven. Topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. DEVINE! Got tons and tons of praise. YUMMY!

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
It is very BASIC. There is no "ump" in the soup. I followed the advice of others and pre soaked the beans over night. It was ok and very bland. I'm not one who likes bold flavors, but this was terribly bland. I won't make it again.

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
The best chicken pot pie recipe EVER! I make two pies, double the pie crust. I make one for my family and then let the mixture cool before making the other pie. Then I freeze it for later. Then I just set it out the night before to defrost. I recommend using this crust, its what makes the pie so delicious. My family, and company, request this dish more than any other. I would give it 10 stars!!!!

Vanilla Ice Cream IV

It was really gritty. The texture tasted fine, but when we finished enjoying the ice cream our teeth were covered in a grit.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
Perfect every time. Like others I used the microwave to melt the chocolate. I use long skewers and then once I dip the strawberries I stick the other end in a upside down strainer and let them dry. Works great...no messy chocolate to clean up and they look beautiful and professional.

Texas Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
This was excellent, especially the onions. My husband and I usually don't put onions in things, but it made the dish. They were so sweet and delicious. I grilled the chicken things in BBQ sauce, then I grilled the quesadillas instead of baking them. I will make again....and very soon too.

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
This was a great hit. I made it for the boys' football night. I added an onion. I used half bbq sauce and half ketchup. I left out the mustard and it still tasted great. I didn't find the sauce to runny at all. It was perfect. I put it in the croc-pot on high for 4 hours and it just fell apart. I will definatly make this my permanent bbq beef recipe!
