LOVED it! I used my own homemade spinach pesto. It turned out creamy and delicious.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
I totally enjoyed this dish and so did my family. I love using my slow cooker and this recipe is a keeper! After I removed the turkey from the slow cooker, I strained the cooking juices and served the juice along side the meat. I also used a bone-in turkey breast because it was on sale. If using a bone-in, make sure to put the meaty breast side down in the slow cooker so that meat doesn't dry out.

Refrigerator Pickles

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2012
These pickles are great and so easy to make. The only thing I did differently was omit the green pepper but that's just because I don't like peppers. The pickles are really sweet but I like them this way. I will make again for sure!

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
GREAT beans! I made as directed except I used the whole jalapeno because otherwise I would've just thrown it away. They were a little salty, next time I'll cut down the salt. But overall, I thought they were super simple and great tasting.

Sloppy Sams

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
Very good! I made this mostly for my daughter who loves lentils, but the whole family enjoyed it. It was even better the next day. I served on honey wheat buns with bread and butter pickles.

White Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2014
So good and easy!! I used half pepperjack cheese and half colby cheese to cut some of the heat since my family isn't into spicy. It turned out perfect! Next time though I think I will leave out the meat and add an extra can of beans. I didn't think the meat added anything to the dish and it would be a good meatless meal for us.

Sausage and Lentils

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2014
Super easy and yummy. I added chicken bouillon cubes to the dish and it came out too salty. Next time I will use low sodium prepared chicken stock instead of water. This dish doesn't look appetizing but tastes good.
