Classic Old Fashioned

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
Hi! Y'all made me thirsty! Used what I had on hand. Brandy, brown sugar, "Cherries in Brandy" bought at mall during Holidays {and some of the juice}, squeeze lime and lemon juices, Brandy, and ice. Nummy! Had another sip after sitting a bit, even tastier. I think the Bing cherries make this particular one, plus brown sugar.

Slow Cooker Red Curry Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2014
I used chuck steak. Agree it is too thin. We love the flavor and tenderness of the meat. Will make again using less liquid, add sweet potato (used no potato today) and will use spinach. Again, Loved the flavor!

Extreme Veggie Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
This sounds wonderful. I prefer green onions with eggs, and since I only have Almond Milk (awful with eggs) I have been using sour cream as my addition to make the eggs fluffier.

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
Wow. I made this Thursday and we had some for dinner; it was for Saturdays' BBQ. We love it, and many at the party raved. I did add a little more lemon/lime juice because I tasted too much Red Wine vinegar. Also I doubled the beans. There is enough left over for me to take for lunch (with the addition of some leftover Black-Eyed Peas.) There

I have not made this yet, but I need something new to take to work. Think I'll use turkey and spinach tortillas.

Rice and Raisin Breakfast Pudding

For Cheryl and others not liking soy milk, try Almond milk; it's delicious and comes in a variety of percents. 90, 60, 40, original and vanilla.

Antipasto Salad III

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
Sounds great, but you need some peperoncini's! And maybe some sweet peppers. And I like the idea of another reviewer of putting the vinegar on the side; not all like too much vinegar. Thank you.

My Horseradish Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
This was tasty, but I did a few things differently. I read all the reviews first. Put the ingredients in as written; then made my changes. My Horseradish Sauce is great. The rating showed here was left-over from the other recipe.

Corned Beef and Cabbage III

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
Wow. I covered my brisket with the pickling spice then let it sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Wow! Will not ever boil another corned beef. I can only give this 4 stars, since the timing was way off on the stove-top items. Ended up with mushy apple, and not done cabbage (I took it off the heat after looking at the apple.) The meat was amazing.

Creamy Dill Dip

My ex-Mother-in-law gave me this recipe in my 20's. Always loved it. Better with fresh-any-type onion. Beau Monde is quite similar to Celery Salt, only more tasty.
