Southern Pulled Pork

Totally fantastic recipe! Only one change... you only need to add 2 c of liquid as the juices from the roast will make it very soupy if you add more. Other than that, wouldn't change a thing!

All Day Apple Butter

Excellent recipe except too much sugar! I used 2/3c of white grape/peach juice and it was just right. Next time I'll try cran/raspberry juice. Added a little extra cinnamon and cooked 24 hrs. Had an awesome carmel color and tasted good on ice cream!

Real Southern Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This recipe has too much oil/margarine and not enough salt which makes for cornbread without a lot of pizzazz and a bit mushy. However it does bake up beautifully. Just not as tasty as other southern cornbread I've had...

Beef or Chicken Marinade

This is an awesome marinade. We marinated boneless skinless thighs for 2 hrs and then grilled and they were awesome. The only change I made was that I didn't add ginger. Next time I'll probably marinade for close to 4 hrs. Definitely a keeper!

CARNATION® Famous Fudge

This is a really awesome recipe!! I highly recommend it. I did it 1 1/2 x and it was enough for an 8.5"x11". Be advised! take only a small portion! It is very rich.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2003
My family really enjoyed this recipe! But I made a few revisions: 1) I used 52oz of canned apples or 1/2 of a large can (a much better buy right now :D ) 2) I added 3T lemon juice 3) only 1/2c of white sugar 4)2/3c brown sugar 5) chopped walnuts and added them to the topping and 6)added approx. 1/2 t of nutmeg to the topping as well. I also did not use any water in this recipe. Because I used canned apples it only needed 25 minutes at 350 degrees. This was awesome in that it was a quick dessert! Also I topped each square with a dallop of whipped cream! Even if you don't use canned apples many of these changes will make it a better crisp.
