Chess Pie III

I;ve never had chess pie, but I was craving a pie and I had all the required ingredients on hand already. The only thing that I didn't have was the white vinegar and I used rice wine vinager instead. Well, it was super sweet! Sweeter than I thought it was going to be. Also, my pie took about an hour to be prefectly set too. It got crunchy on top and it was very good.

Chicken Wellington Casserole

I really enjoyed this recipe. I never tried it as written, but I followed a few suggestions made by other cooks. I boiled the chicken for 10 minutes, the cooked it together with double the cream cheese (I like cheese, lol), mushrooms and I added some thawed, frozen spinach. I used two cans of dough which made about 4 delicious pockets. This dish makes a good dinner, paird with a nice light salad.

Super Easy Doughnuts

I actually liked this. Mine turned out to be more like pancakes than doughnuts. My husband said that they tasted like this fried dough that he used to get back in NY. He liked them, so I guess it was a good thing. The only different thing I did was drop them into the pan so I guess that's one reason they came out like pancakes..lol. I dusted mine with powered sugar and cinnamon and sugar and they tasted good. I'm not sure if I'll make this again, but it was easy and quick.

Cheesy Polenta

I've never had polenta before, but I've seen it pre-made in the stores. I made this and it was very good. Next time will use chicken stock and maybe some tomatoes or even tomato sauce. Very good! Thanks for sharing.

Allie's Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

I love cheese and this is one of the cheesiest. I think next time I might just use abou 16 oz of Sharp Chedder, about 2/3 of the milk and maybe a bit more macaroni then see what I come out with. Thats the fun of cooking: Messing up, trying again and getting full of your mistakes!
