Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
This dish was alright I made extra sauce as recommended and used extra cheese on top of that. I also added granulated garlic and parsley to help season. On top of all that, they were still on the bland side. My husband usually raves about my cooking but said "umm...they were alright", which means yuck. I took them to a dinner, and noticed hardly anyone took any because even with all the cheese in the sauce, they still looked like potatoes in alfredo sauce. They were just alright.

Rocky Road Cheesball

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
This is my submission, so therefore I do love it. I hope you all will enjoy as well. Remember, you can experiment with this in so many ways. Add different flavors to the inside mix (mint or raspberry) and roll in different things (chopped Andy's mints, peanut butter chips). The possibilities are endless!

Not Your Every Day Smoked Pork Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
We actually loved these, but I'm rating 4 stars cause we didn't use mop sauce, we used favorite BBQ sauce. The rub was very good. I cut down on cinnamon and cumin, and omitted cayenne.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
This is a "don't hover" recipe. Follow what submitter said. Stir good till the butter is melted, stick your candy thermometer in and DONT HOVER! Just stir occasionally until candy thermometer reaches 300. If you stir too often, it will separate. Very easy, and good recipe

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
I have to admit, this isn't the yummiest LOOKING cobbler, but it taste WONDERFUL! I was a little skeptical when I pulled it out of the oven and it looked dry and bland; but it was out of this world good. We put a scoop of vanilla ice cream and WOW! I used 10 peaches instead of 8 and I chunked big slices; Added a 1/2 tsp extra cornstarch; made 1 1/2 batches of doughy topping; and only cooked 25 min on the second timing. It was really GOOD!

Buttermilk Coleslaw

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
Made it exactly as written. It was okay, but the buttermilk taste seemed to really overpower the slaw.

Scrumptious Frosted Fudgy Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
They were alright, but not as good as I expected. I didn't do the frosting so I would take that into consideration, but I was looking for a brownie recipe that stood out well enough without frosting or toppings. Probably wouldn't make again.

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
I have tried dozens of cookie recipes searching for the perfect chocolate chip cookie.....and they all failed in one way or another.....until I tried this recipe. I LOVE this recipe. Its wonderul. The only addition was 1/2 tsp cream of tartar for a pretty apprearance. My husband said "wow! write this recipe in the books. This is a keeper!"
