When my husband is out of town, my son and I eat a little differently. I also take the opportunity to try new techniques and tonight, a throw-together dinner. For years I've been pretty okay with the spelt bread I get from my bread machine. Not bad, does the job, dry and crumbly. Two recent events have altered my perspective. About Me
I cook nearly every day for my gracious husband and not-too-picky toddler. They make tackling the "What's for dinner?" question a welcome challenge. All the recipes I use I tailor to our preferences: make it from scratch if you can, meat makes a dinner, fresh veggies from the farmer's market, TRY to go easy on the dairy and above all, gluten-free.

My cooking tragedies
Oh this list is endless, or seems to be. The worst of which were the fires (yes, plural!) I started in my kitchen. Failed dishes seem different however, I throw it out if inedible and move on. Cooking for guests, though, is uncharted territory...
