Janet's Rich Banana Bread
The smell coming from my kitchen is so amazing right now! I must be in heaven! Will be eating the bread soon, it is still in the oven.
want to let you know that I went by the recipe completely, except that I added 1/8 cup of cocoa. Sorry, but it shouldn't change the flavor and texture too much!! I just really wanted chocolate. And I had self-rising flour, and natural cane sugar, but that won't matter, either. My bananas were so ripe they just squished out of the peel, so it's kind of in slimy chunks. It was a simple recipe, I like that, no fussy ingredients, just things I have in my fridge at all times. Will let you know soon how it turns out!!It's out of the oven.....waiting for it to cool.... Oh Wow!! It IS the moistest bread, thank you so much!! This recipe will become a go to from my kitchen!! I love the base ingredients, if I decided to use pumpkin, zucchini, apple, etc., it would work great with the proper spices, too. I can't wait for my husband and son to come home so they can enjoy this wonderful bread!! Love it!!
