Orange Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
I followed other suggestions and used vanilla pudding instead of lemon. Also, instead of lemon extract I added 1 tsp each of almond and orange extract.

Blackened Tuna Steaks with Mango Salsa

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
I normally don't love tuna, but this recipe was really good! I did change things a bit since I was short on time and missing a few of the ingredients. Since I didn't have time to marinade the tuna for 3 hrs, I just mixed olive oil, paprika, cayenne, garlic salt, sesame seeds, 1/2 lime sqeezed, and poltry seasoning (basil, rosemary, sage, majoram, thyme, and oregano). Mixed it all up and rubbed it into the tuna then threw it on the grill to cook. For the salsa, I used canned mangos and crushed pineapple, diced red peppers, diced jalepenos and lime juice. Overall it was awesome!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2006
This recipe was extremely easy to make, and the results were fantastic! I prepared the recipe without the celery salt (because I didn't have any) and my family really enjoyed it! Great taste, low cal, very easy, this recipe has it all.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
I love this chicken pot pie; it is very easy to make. I followed the advice of other reviewers and added diced redskin potatoes . Also, I boiled the chicken and all vegetables (including onion) in chicken broth. Once done boiling I drained off the chicken broth reserving 1 3/4 cups for the sauce. I cooked my pot pie in a 9X13" pan and only put the crust on top.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
My husband made this lasagna recently when I was working late a lot. It was just what I needed when I got home. The flavors were fantastic and since I am not a big ricotta cheese fan, the cottage cheese was perfect. Also, he added a pinch of rosemary, red pepper, and basil to the sauce before simmering.

This bananna pudding is fantastic! I have served it several times always getting rave reviews. The amaretto is the key, also 5 banannas is the perfect number!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
My husband and I love this recipe! We do use about half of the recommended ketchup and brown sugar and add a bit of steak sauce an garlic salt to the mix. Great as left overs.

Allspice Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
This frosting is great, especially on the "Best Carrot Cake Ever" recipe also on this site. I typically use an 8oz brick of cream cheese since my husband likes a more tart taste.
