Bruschetta 'n Cheese Stuffed-Chicken Breasts

My biggest difficulty was locating the ingredients, especially the diced tomatoes "with garlic in olive oil." There seem to be about a million different versions of diced tomatoes, but that particular combo was tough. However, it was well worth the search. My husband wouldn't shut up about it for a week, and wants this dish served for pretty much any dinner with guests, because it's yummy, easy, and looks like you spent hours preparing it!

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Isolde's German Cheesecake

This was so much like my Oma's cheesecake I was floored! Luckily I found Quark, vanilla sugar, and non-instant vanilla pudding at a local German deli (Old Heidelberg, if you are in the Phoenix area). I followed the recipe to the T, except I added "drunk raisins" (raisins soaked in rum) to the batter, as my Oma does. It was fantastic. I am so glad that I can now make the cheesecake that I previously only had on trips to Germany. Thank you!

Perfect Berry Shortcakes

Fantastic! I made this for a girlfriend's baby shower and it was a huge success. I think the idea of freezing the butter and grating it is nothing short of genius, and the whole process was much simpler than I anticipated. Instead of thawed frozen berries I substituted fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. I added sugar to allow the berries to macerate while the biscuits were baking, and the combination of berries, biscuits and whipped cream was simply to die for! I'll be making this again (and again, and again).

Beef Barley Lentil Soup

Sadly I've never used lentils or barley before, and if this recipe is anything to go by, I have been missing out! This was a hit with my family, from my husband to my toddler. It was much heartier than I expected, with a great flavor! Thank you Judy! And I had left overs to freeze for another night. Yum! The only thing I did differently was I used fresh tomatoes (didn't have stewed tomatoes on hand). I added them in the beginning, and turned out just fine.

Red Broccoli Salad

Really a refreshing salad - perfect mix of sweet and crunchy. My sister-in-law has been making a similar recipe for a few years now, so I was excited to stumble across this one. It absolutely lived up to my expectations. I omit the almonds due to allergies, and substitute bacon for real bacon bits, purely for convenience. Otherwise I follow the recipe, and it is always a hit! Thanks Maggie!

Fresh Fruit Cobbler

I'm not too familiar with making pie or cobbler, but this recipe is too simple to mess up, and too delicious to pass up! I followed the recipe exactly, except for the cherries (I didn't have any on hand), and it turned out wonderfully. I'll make this again, any time I have a good excuse!

Savory Roasted Root Vegetables

This is a very good recipe, but I'm afraid it wasn't enough to convert my beet-hating husband. Be sure to follow the recipe amounts very closely. I made the mistake of adding too much diced beet into the dish, and it overwhelmed the potatoes and carrots a little. However, if you already like beets (like my son and I) then you will really enjoy this dish. I grated fresh mozzarella cheese and sprinkled it on top right before serving. Very yummy! I'll be sure to make it again - if my hubbie is out for the night.

Broccoli and Cauliflower Casserole

I made this last night for my family and it was FANTASTIC! This will be a regular in our house. I also doubled the rice, and used half the butter, as some reviewers have stated. I also substituted the velveeta cheese for colby cheese (that's what I had handy). This is a truly wonderful recipe. Thanks Bridg!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Fantastic! I followed the recipe as provided with one exception - I broiled the french bread with only the mozzarella, and allowed my guests to add the bruschetta themselves. This was - hands down - the best bruschetta I have ever eaten. My guests argued over who could take left overs home and this one is going in my all-time favorites!
