About this Cook
I am like many out there...hardworking, busy mom. Hold a full time job as a 911 dispatcher, and am the camp cook for our outfitting business come hunting season. One of my sayings is that "no one leaves the table hungry....and if you do...well that's your own fault." Its a great feeling knowing people actually drive out of their way to come to dinner at Kelly's Kitchen. :-)
My favorite things to cook
I love grilling!!! Steaks are probably the most common dish served at our house, but also known for my surf and turf combos as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The holidays are always a fun time to bring out those special dishes.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime my boyfriend, son or father likes a meal....it is a success as they are by far my most picky critics.
My cooking tragedies
NEVER try to cook frozen potatoes into mashed potatoes. I made this mistake once...the potatoes were kinda frozen. I thought, no big deal, they are gonna become mashed potatoes anyway right? WRONG!!! It turned them into potato soup...instant potatoes added couldn't help this disaster. So my advise....use fresh potatoes..if they are frozen or even partially frozen...your better off not using them.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream
Super simple and great recipe!!! I love how easy it was and still worked even tho I lacked some ingredients. I tried this last night, I didnt have any cream so I substituted with whole milk and used egg noodles instead... Still came out great. I was using wild pork sausage so I didnt have the problems others have listed with it being too greasy, so I guess it just depends on what type of sausage your using if your going to need to drain the sausage or not before adding the other ingredients. This recipe is definitely a keeper.
