Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2003
These were just plain fabulous. First time attempting cinnamon rolls, and they were so easy! I made mine up the day before and put them in the fridge before the 2nd rise, then just set them on the counter to let them warm up before baking. I used the whole pudding packet like others did. I also made a gooey bottom layer of dark corn syrup, brown sugar and cinnamon, then placed the rolls on top of that to bake. With only 2 of us eating these, the recipe made way too much so next time I will make a half batch-but I will definitely make them again, thanks for the recipe!

Easy Focaccia

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2003
Amazing, fabulous, delicious! Dough was very sticky, but well worth the hassle. I folded in half of the rosemary after the first rising and added some fresh basil that I had on hand. I left the pan of water in the oven, I thought it may add to the chewy-softness of it. I will definitely be making this again and again.

Lime Sandwich Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2003
I really enjoyed these cookies. They were indeed very tasty. I have made them as lime cokoies, but also made a lemon icing, and used lemon/lime peel in the dough for an extra kick. When my husband was deployed to the desert, I sent him these, they traveled great! It took about two weeks to reach him, but they maintained their chewy softness. And the men LOVED them. Thanks for the recipe.

Mama's Cornbread and Sausage Turkey Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2003
This was a fantastic recipe, and my first attempt at homemade stuffing. My only complaint is that it made way too much. I halved the recipe, and that filled my 9x13 baking dish full, along with a stuffed turkey. Next time I will quarter this recipe, but it is definitely a keeper. Very easy to make as well. I used smoked sausage because it doesn't specify whether to use smoked, or ground, or what.

Linda's Monster Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2003
Great cookies, but in the grand tradition of allrecipes, I altered them somewhat. The only monster cookies I've ever had, had peanut butter in them, so I added 1.5 cups p.b., omitting margarine, used butter flavored shortening instead of butter (I like soft and chewy), used 3 cups of b. sugar and 1 cup w. sugar, and finally mini chocolate chips and mini M&Ms-2 cups. These were some serious cookies-very tasty.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2003
These were pretty good. I was looking to duplicate a recipe that a bakery in Alaska makes, so like they do, I used a maple icing instead of vanilla. I inadvertently left out the salt, next time I make them I will be sure to remember the salt because they were a bit bland. I also added some pumpkin pie spice (1/2 tsp) for just a hint of ginger.
