Honey-Balsamic Vinaigrette

Something about this dressing tasted very weak and flat to me. The oil/vinegar ratio was too low and left the dressing without any mouth feel. It also lacked a certain "zip" to it and would have been better with something pungent like mustard and/or garlic.

Corned Beef Hash (Abalos style)

I used leftover corned beef and cabbage from St. Patrick's Day, and added a little rice vinegar, soy sauce, and sambal olek for flavor.

Roast Chicken with Potato, Olives and Greek Seasoning

Wow. A lot of work for a pretty unimpressive dinner. The chicken was SO bland -- only bits here and there tasted lemony -- and the potatoes were okay, but nothing great.

Grilled Chicken Adobo

I first reviewed this recipe over two years ago, and I've been making this recipe regularly since then. The measurements are fairly flexible; I've various ratios of soy sauce, water, and vinegar, and it's always good. Try it with turkey!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

This recipe was excellent -- I made just just two small changes. 1.) Extra sauce! The sauce is the best part. 2.) I added a splash of balsamic vinegar to the sauce at the end to cut the sweetness just a little. Awesome!
