Frogmore Stew

This recipe was extremely easy to make and was very good tasting. I wasn't sure when I read the ingredients, but thought would give it a try if someone had been using it for 20 years! Even the little kids ate it. We enjoyed it very much. The only thing I did different was brown the sausage before adding. I'm not sure really why I thought I should, but for some reason I did. I will make this again. I cut the recipe in half and it still made a big pot full. Thanks for a great new taste!

Green Beans for a Special Occasion

I served these beans for Christmas dinner. They were excellent. For those of you with kids, my five year old ate ALL the leftovers. I will definately serve these again. The only thing I did differently was cook the beans for 15 minutes instead of 5. We like green beans with a softer texture, but that is purely a matter of preference.

Confetti Scalloped Potatoes

I made this dish for the Christmas potatoes. I would make it again, but next time would use half the amount of butter for saute. The butter seemed to pool at the bottom of the dish. Also would chop the green pepper instead of cutting in thin strips. I used shredded hashbrowns and cubed would be a better choice. Mine took almost an hour to cook completely.

This is an excellent recipe. Also is an excellent base for fish chowder. Add your own favorite seafoods for variation.
