I'm an Argentine-American college student and I spend almost all of my free time in the kitchen! I bake more than anything else but I'm trying to get more into cooking main dishes and getting over my distaste for raw meat.
My favorite things to cook
chocolate crinkle cookies, mango chutney, Indian carrot coconut milk soup, muffins, anything that involves challenging substitutions (i.e., gluten free, vegan, etc)
My favorite family cooking traditions
sun dried tomato pesto, spinach balls, mango marinated salmon, tortilla con mil verduras, black magic cake
My cooking triumphs
Gluten free vegan muffins that everyone thought were normal (i.e. made with butter, eggs, and wheat flour).
My cooking tragedies
"healthy" muffins that ended up bubbling over in the oven (yes, bubbling) I still don't know what happened but I suspect something baking soda
