Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
My whole family loved it!!! The only change I made was I cut back on the sugar to 1.5tbsp instead of 3. It was DELICIOUS!! I have 4 daughters ages 7, 17, 20 & 22 and my husband to feed and they ALL loved it :-) I'm going to try adding fresh string beans to the sauce next time...YUM!!

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
I would've given this recipe 5 stars but I didn't follow the recipe exactly because I didn't have all the ingredients. I browned the grd. beef, added a pkt of taco seasoning, 3/4 c water, then a can of corn (drained) and a can of refried beans. After it was heated well I put spoonfuls down the middle of the tortillas, then put a lot of shredded cheese on top of that, rolled them up, seam side down in pan, brushed with melted butter and baked @ 350 for 10-15 min. Once on our plates we topped with sour cream, lettuce and tomoatoes and DUG in!! Delicious!!

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
I just made these tonight. The flavor is spot on for shortbread. Delicious!! The only problem I found and the reason I gave the recipe 4 instead of 5 stars is it only took 10 minutes in the oven, not 20-25 min. and I burnt the first batch:( After the first batch they turned out great!! Thanks for the recipe. Will be using it every year:)

Bat Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
These are delicious! The first time I made these I made them exactly as the recipe says. They were a little bland so the next time I made them I upped the garlic and added onion powder. They were very flavorful. I make them every year for our annual halloween party, my daughters insist:)

Apple Shortbread Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2007
This was easy and tasted good but there was too much crust. The top crust was done but the bottom was still not cooked. I will be making this again but I will use less crust on the bottom and I will try with Granny smith apples. I think I will try like another reviewer said and bake the bottom crust and then add the apples and top crust.

Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2007
I've never tasted Irish soda bread before but this was delicious. The caraway seed (which i have never used before) was a nice contrast to the sugar and raisins. I made it to take to my neighbors and they loved it. The only change I made was I used 2 cups of raisins instead of 3 because it was all I had. It was even beautiful to look at. I will definitely be making this again.

Bacon Broccoli & Raisin Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2006
This is a delicious recipe. I made it for a church luncheon so I doubled it. I didn't put as many raisins as it called for and used Marie's Cole Slaw dressing. I didn't do this but it might be nice with some fancy shredded cheddar cheese in it. This will be the recipe I make for all pot lucks and parties from now on.

These were so tender and delicious. My girls scraped the onions off but thought they were really good. My husband really liked them too.

Garlic Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2006
I gave it a 5 but only if you cut back on the seasoning. The skin on the chicken was way too salty. Luckily, we could peel that off and the meat wasn't too salty. Other than that, this recipe is great. The potatoes were outstanding.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2006
This chicken pot pie was delicious! I was worried it was too good to be true because the recipe is so simple. My three daughters loved it and they usually don't like anything with veggies in it.
