Pfeffernuesse IV

I don't know what "traditional" pfeffernuesse tastes like, but this recipe is great. Instead of dusting them with powdered sugar I made a thick glaze of powdered sugar, vanilla and water and dipped the tops in it. They were delicious.

Asparagus Quiche

I used edam cheese instead of swiss because my step mum recommended it. It turned out fantastic. My pate brisee crust helped a lot. it was melt in your mouth! I will make this over, and over again.

Soft Gingerbread Cookies

Great recipe. To prevent from becoming hard do not over cook. This recipe requires very little cooking time. Be sure to roll these out to at least a 1/4 inch or else they will not be chewy.

Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

I thought one tablespoon of baking powder would make the pancakes taste too bitter so I added 2 1/2 teaspoons. I didn't let the batter sit for an hour because I didn't have time but they still turned out good. Just for my personal taste, I would add more sugar next time and more blueberries!

Basic Cream Cheese Frosting

This was delicious! I hadn't liked cream cheese frosting up until now and I realized that it was because nobody put enough cream cheese in it! What's the point in making it if it's not going to taste like cheese? This frosting totally met my expectations! Thanx so much!

Blueberry Cherry Pie

I only put in 3/4 cups of sugar as others suggested but I felt it needed a little more. Not to mention cinnamon OVERKILL! Yuck. If I made this again I would only add one teaspoon cinnamon.

Peach Cream Pie I

Sooooo delicious! I've made this pie twice now and the oven temp needs to be raised to 350 or the pie will be in there for two hours. I used a double pie crust instead of just the bottom because I love crust, and it turned out lovely.

You must pat down the balls of dough!!!! That step is skipped in the recipe. I don't like these cookies. I jfind them dry and the over all taste isn't that great.

Woops! I packed the icing sugar and I guess I shouldn't have, because the icing was more of a lumpy powder. I saved it by adding a touch of cream and it came out shiny and lovely. Yum!

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

This pie was really good. I've made many rhubarb pies and I've never soaked or cooked the rhubarb prior to putting it in. Either those of you who have the "crunchy rhubarb" problem have extremely tough rhubarb, or you're cutting it into chunks that are too big. I cut mine approx. 1/4" in width. I also agree with another person that this pie is a bit too sweet. Perhaps our rhubarb is not as bitter as others. It's all in the rhubarb I guess!

Rhubarb Cake I

Yum! There was a tad too much topping, so I wound up throwing out about 1/8th of a cup. I had a little whipping cream left over so I used 1/3 whipping cream, and 2/3 milk with one tablespoon of lemon. I only had a cup of rhubarb, and it really would have been so much better with another cup but it still turned out perfect and moist!
