About this Cook
I'm 21 years old, living with my fiance. We both cook and we're good at it, but I love expanding my horizons and putting spins on normal dishes. Why cook regular meatloaf when you can cook stuffed meatloaf muffins? :D I'm looking to take this even further, while also getting homemade meals put on the table quickly, seeing as we're going to be having our first child in November. Time for that daily parental grind to start. :D
My favorite things to cook
Oh, I can't say I have a favorite. I just love going in the kitchen (when I'm in the mood) and just messing with everything. Especially lately, I've been getting more experimental with my dishes and they've been coming out beyond delicious. With that said, my favorite things to cook is what comes out irresistible and mouth watering. :D
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom and dad are both extraordinary cooks. Nearly every night, the six of us would chow down on unbelievably delicious homemade and gourmet cooking. Stuffed pork chops, gumbo, galumpkies (stuffed cabbage), classic steak and potatoes... I want to be able to bring that family time and cooking skill to my kids, so that they can bring it to theirs, and so on, for generations to come. :D Food is just too amazing.
My cooking triumphs
Hmm... Stuffed meatloaf muffins (huge hit) Stuffed Summer Squash (very fun, but kind of a pain in the butt for prep) Chicken Marsala (didn't come out how it was supposed to exactly, but was still delicious) Most recently, Chicken Quesadillas from scratch. I can make some AWESOME omelets if I have all the ingredients I use. :D
My cooking tragedies
Well... 1. Most recently, in order to add a great taste to instant mashed potatoes, I decided to add fresh garlic. I added WAY too much. We had to throw it away. :( 2. The first time I ever cooked dinner for my mom, I was winging it. Chicken and refried beans. I didn't even know what refried beans were at the time. Well, I used a little oil cooking the chicken on the stove top. After being spattered and scorched a good couple times, the chicken STILL came out bloody in the middle. Luckily, we spotted it quickly enough and no one got sick. 3. The first time I ever really tried cooking anything (besides Easy Mac), I was trying to remember how my brother had told me to make scrambled eggs. I added the butter on the pan and quickly went to the bathroom before continuing. Before I could get back, my mom started screaming. :( I caught the pan on fire. The worst damage it made was a very noticeable burn ring on the counter my dad had just put in no more than 6 months prior... :D

Best Steak Marinade in Existence
I used Teriyaki sauce instead, and didn't add the optional ingredients or the basil. Still came out so delicious. My boyfriend and I both thought it was out of the world, having really rescued a couple crappy pieces of steaks. Just, so delicious.

Lemon Pepper Green Beans
This is a great spin on an old side. A great way to get some new flavor with something so overdone. Make sure you serve it while it's still hot. Really effects the taste.

Mistakenly Zesty Pork Chops
i had switched a few things around (teriyaki sauce instead of soy sauce) and it came out delicious.
