Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

This is a great winter soup. It has amazing flavor with the cilantro and the tarragon mixed into the white sauce. As a finishing touch before serving I sprinkled red pepper flakes on top. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Sesame Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
This is a great side dish. I use olive oil instead of safflower oil. I also use 1 teaspoon chili oil instead of chili sauce. I add diced cucumber and cilantro for color and flavor.

Pumpkin French Toast Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
I really enjoyed the Frech toast bake, however, an entire loaf of Texas thick-sliced bread is not needed! In step 3 of the directions it states, " Arrange the bread cubes in a single layer", so only a few slices of bread needed to be cubed. I had cubed up the entire loaf since that is what is listed in the ingredient listing. Also, I would suggest lining the cake pan with foil and geasing the foil, so clean-up of the pan is easier. As another review suggested, mix the ingredients in a bowl and then pour the mixture over the bread cubes.

Luscious Lima Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
This is fall weather comfort food! This is a mellow, yet, flavorable dinner dish. A very easy meal to make: just put the bean in a pot to soak overnight or early in the morning, then put the soup together and just let the soup simmer until the beans are soft. I did add a ham hock since I had it on hand.

Moroccan Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
This is a wonderful soup! I used the green lentils, a can of kidney beans and a can of black beans for my soup, as others stated. The rest of the recipe I kept as the recipe read. I think I would like to pick up the Moroccan spice that individuals had mentioned to taste the difference in flavors.

Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
This is a wonderful recipe! I used the pureed pulp from a peanut pumpkin that I had baked. Since the pulp was a bit thinner than the canned pumpkin I added about a teaspoon of cornstarch. I left the nuts off the top since I made this as a snack item for the children at the child care center where I work. I prepared two pans. The children and staff really enjoyed the dessert. Staff made copies of this recipe to make at home. This was a great hit with all ages. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
This is a wonderful way to put zucchini to use. You do have to press the liquid out of the grated zucchi in order to get a nice thick batter. These were great with salsa on top. I did grate in one clove of garlic and added about 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
This is a very good soup to add to one's recipe collection. I did cut back on the heat and it still had a good flavor. I also, used my immersion blender to give the soup a little more thickness. Too top of the soup I added a dollop of sour cream, a sprinkle of cheese and served it with cheese-its.

Baked Fried Eggplant

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
This is a good simple recipe. I did increase the temperture to 350 degrees and sweated the eggplant after peeling and cutting it up. I also sprinkled the eggplant with lemon juice so the pieces would not brown. I did add garlic salt to my dredging flour so the pieces had extra flavor.

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
This recipe is fabulous. With snow falling outside and the temperture in the 30 degree range for the day, this tea just warms the body. I mixed up a recipe today, following the suggestions above the recipe. I also added a 1 1/2 teaspoons of pumpkin spice since the coffee shop I visit has a chai that tastes like "pumpkin pie in a cup". Thank you for sharing this recipe. I no longer have to pay $4 for a mug of chia.
