Extreme Chocolate Cake
Very, very good. Made a big dog cake for my son's 3rd birthday, as well as a strawberry cake for his twin sister, and the chocolate cake was by FAR superior. It was fudgy and moist, and it took well to sitting a couple of nights (cooling and decorating take time). I will make this one again and again! Also not difficult as recipes go, and the kids helped out a bit.

Leek and Fennel Soup
Excellent! Made it with ingredients from CSA box. Didn't do celery but carrots instead, and also did not use boullion as all mine is full of MSG and I'm trying to cut that out. However, I honestly didn't miss it! Put in a little garlic, a tad extra salt, and some white pepper along with the black. Truly delicious, and for those of us concerned about such things, VERY low points! Will make again and again!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies
Very good cookies. Like others, I did not flatten nor add sugar (in fact I reduced the sugar a bit, which I do in pretty much all my recipes), nor did I refrigerate the dough ahead of time. They made perfect drop cookies! Quite chewy and moist. I also added chocolate chips (ah, there's the sugar!), and we really really loved them.
