Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2003
These truly were the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. My family and friends could not get over how soft they were. I scaled the recipe to 36 and instead of 1 cup of nuts I added 1 cup of raisins and they were great. Thanks for sharing the recipe

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
This was very good! I also made a few changes. I cut the chicken into bite size pieces and cooked it on the stove as opposed to the oven. I increased the sauce by using 1 can of golden mushroom and 1/2 can of cream of mushroom. I also added green onions and mushrooms. As another reviewer suggested, I used chicken broth (1 cup) instead of the white wine. Next time I think I'd try the wine. I would definitely make this again. Thanks!

Barbecued Beef

This went over great! I used a 2.5 lb roast and it was very tender. I may try this again, only using meatballs for the holidays.

Christmas Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2004
This turned out pretty good. Would use less hash browns next time though. I did use the suggestion of another reviewer and added in a 1/2 can of cream of chicken soup.

Pastrami Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2004
I would probably make this again but with some changes. The flavor was good, but it definitely was not done in 30 to 40 minutes. Breast tenders might a better option that breasts cut in half. After 50 minutes, I ended up raising the oven temp to 350 which could have caused it to dry out a little on top. I partially cooked the bacon and used ham instead of pastrami. It might a good idea to add a little more broth and/or cover it for a portion of the time.

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2004
These were very good! I've made them a couple of times, and altered the recipe a little each time. I cut down on both the chili sauce and the brown sugar. We also used the rub that another reviewer mentioned.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2004
This was outstanding. The meat was VERY tender and the marinade was not over powering. We stuck to the suggested recipe. Only difference was the cut of meat. We had sirloin on hand.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2004
This was fabulous. It did take longer to cook than 20 mins. But the bacon was done. I did as another suggested and doubled the mushrooms and marinated separately. I also added vidalia onions and was glad I had a pound of bacon because I used it all. Great recipe!

Raspberry Trifle

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2004
This was okay, I think it needs to be a little sweeter, the raspberries may have been too tart. I would probably add a little more sugar to the cream cheese mixture.

Chiliquilla

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2004
This was very good! My pickiest eater didn't care for it but the other 3 members of our family enjoyed it. I would make again but stick to using the amount of sauce recommended in the recipe, I think my son would have enjoyed it more if the tortilla strips still had a little crunch to them. Thanks for sharing.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2004
I thought this was very good. The gravy turned out great and there was plenty to go with leftovers for lunch the next day. This might be only me, but I would look for smaller chicken breasts or pound them out more, most of the cheese had melted out by the time they were done.

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2005
My family had their doubts when I made this but it turned out pretty well. I would use reduced sodium soup as it was a little salty, but not unbearable. It tastes great over mashed potatoes or rice.
