About this Cook
I am a divorced mom of 2. I have a girl, almost 12 and a boy 7 years old. I work with the elderly population and come home very tired. I love to cook so very rarely do we have boxed dinners....once in a great while I make something from a box....I guess I'm picky. I think my cooking is my therapy!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Alot of my favorites are recipes handed down over several generations.....like my apple pie , gingerbread and bread pudding recipes. They are so easy but I like knowing my great great grandmother made them too.
My cooking triumphs
hmmmm, I would say the wedding cakes....not the baking part.... that was easy......decorating wasn't so bad(stayed up all night frosting and decorating)...the triumph was getting it to the reception in one peice and getting it assembled.
My cooking tragedies
Steak is my Kryptonite..........my boyfriend thinks it's hilarious....I tried it again several weeks ago and smoked out the whole house! I can do anything...just not steak!

Slow Cooker London Broil
My family thought this was great....very easy preparation....I thought it needed something....don't know...I'll play with it. Everyone is bugging me to make it again....so I will.

Cornbread Casserole
My boyfriend says this is absolutely a keeper! I did mix the cheese in, instead of just putting it on top.
