Curried Mango Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
We love curried chicken dishes in our house and this dish was another one that everyone gobbled up. We passed this recipe on the day we made it. We will definitely make this again.

Pita Chicken

We like this. We've had it twice so far. The kids even like it. Its a bit spicy for small mouths so we tone it down some.

Grilled Hawaiians

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
These taste pretty good. But it seems like they never come out perfect like every other grilled sandwich we make. No matter how much i drain the pineapple the bread is a bit soggy on that one side. Putting the pineapple under the cheese helps some, but some falls out the side when you flip them. Maybe pineapple rings would work better for us? I will try them a third time and see if that is the charm.

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
Good dish. We liked this one. My toddler actually ate asparagus! Whenever I serve it he sets it aside. Not this time. He picked them out and gobbled them up.

Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
Absolutely loved this recipe. It makes a lot and I expected it would be around at least a few days. Boy was I wrong! My husband and daughter did not want to eat anything else until this was all gone. I did this close to the recipe. I couldn't find all the vegetable in seperate bags, so I bought one big bag with all the vegetables in it. So the amounts might be slightly off. All in all a great and filling dish.

Zesty Porcupine Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
My family liked this dish. I used pre-cooked rice that I already had. The meatballs turned out great and we will have this one again sometime.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
We like this recipe. The kids ate it right up. We did a batch with Seasoned Salt and they liked that one the best. i thought it was a bit labor intensive for such small results. But it did taste really good while it lasted. I will definitely do this one again.

Spaghetti Squash with Paleo Meat Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
This was a great dish! We loved it. Kids gobbled it up. Even my hard to please husband went back for seconds. I did add in a smidge of garlic powder and I did not pour olive oil on the "noodles". My family is already asking when I will make this again!

Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2012
I like this recipe a lot. I find that the coating goes on the nuts easily and its not to sweet. In the reviews I read complaints about it not being sweet enough. I think this recipe was meant to compliment the flavor of the nuts and not overpower them. So the nuts play a bigger role in this recipe than just adding crunch underneath a sweet coating. I ate these by themselves, but tomorrow I plan to have them on a salad and I think they would be yummy that way too.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
We absolutely loved these! I had no oregano so I left that out. Still turned out great. I thickened the sauce so it was more like gravy and served the chops over rice with the gravy poured on. THe chops were tender and the flavor was great. My husband does not like chops and he really liked these. Absolutely Delicous! EDIT- Second time around these did NOT come out great. We ate them without turning the liquid into a gravy. They were still tender, but felt pretty dry in the mouth. I think these definitely need a gravy.

Jif® Peanut Butter Fudge

This never comes out right for me. Other Peanut Butter fudge recipes do, but never this one. Always comes out chewy and moldable like taffy. Flavor is great though.

I LOVED this recipe. I added more pesto to this beccuse I love the stuff. My husband wasn't a fan, but he's not a pesto lover. I haven't made this again because of him. But if he ever goes out with the guys over dinner this is gonna find its way on my plate again.

Zesty Chicken Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
My family loves this recipe! We top it with sour cream and pico de gallo or salsa. I have made this with ground turkey when I can't find ground chicken. It comes out great either way. I did not give this 5 stars because I did tweak the recipe some. I double the salsa and ranch to make it come out really moist. I cut the seasoning in half since doubling the liquid ingredients add great flavor. I save the other half of the packet for when we have this loaf again. The last time I made this I tried ground tortilla chips like other users recommended and it was a flop. Still tasted great, but the texture was horrid and it was not eaten with as much enthusiasm as usual. All in all this is a great recipe and a family favorite.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
These were good!! Much better than the recipe on the back of the bag. I did switch the recipe up a little, thats why I didn't give it five stars. I added 1/2 tsp cream of tartar, substituted 1/2 the white sugar with brown and decreased the flour to 2 1/4 cups, I omited the walnuts also. I cooked for 12 minutes and these came out crispy and really good. Next time I would add another 1/4 cup of flour. The cookies were flatter than I liked after I decreased the flour. My husband loved them and called them the best chocolate chip cookies I ever made. I would agree flavor wise, but looks wise I made them too thin. I think the next time with more flour will be the perfect chocolate chip cookie.
