Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
BEST FROSTING EVER! At first, I was a little wary of this recipe; as I was cooking the milk and the flour, it wasn't thickening. But that is when I realized that the flour had sunk to the bottom and thickened into a paste which stuck to the bottom of the pan. But as I scraped that up, the milk thickened right away. It was disgusting looking and at that point I was 95% positive that I was NOT going to use this recipe. But boy was I wrong! After beating it with the butter and sugar mix it became fluffy and delicious. By far one of my top frosting favorites. It still has a buttercream flavor to it, but it is airy and less dense than traditional butter cream. I found that it worked really well with an almond flavoring. Definitively see this one through to the end. The recipe even made enough to generously decorate a three layer cake!

Sugar Cookie Cutouts

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2013
I actually really loved this recipe! They tasted good, and the texture was decent. I even made them gluten free and they turned out fantastic! I was thrilled when they didn't crumble when decorated. They frosted quiet nicely.

Fluffy White Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2012
This was an amazing frosting! It was light and fluffy and tasted like marshmallows or divinity. I tried it the first time with powdered sugar and it never whipped, but once I used the correct sugar it came out perfect. It looks really nice when frosted because it is smooth and has a subtle shine. Over all I really, really liked this recipe and will definitively we using it again!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
This was AMAZING! I even made it gluten free and and it turned out awesome. Probually one of the best pies I have ever made. When I cooked the filling it came out very solid and not liquidy like it was described. But it worked anyways. I gooped the layer ontop of the appes and it worked amazing. I also tumbled the chopped apples in cinnimon and sugar witht he lemon zest before I baked it. Really really good!
