Poppy Seed French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
Too bitter/strong poppy for me. I even decreased to 2TBS. My husband liked it. If he wants this again I will only use 1TBS. The poppys didn't have a problem falling to the bottom, I just whisked in between dips. To enjoy this I just had to use a little more syrup to tone down the poppy.

Christmas Morning Oatmeal

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2013
I double the fruit, leave out the butter, and sometimes substitute the juice for milk. Still very sweet and a family favorite. Also, I like to add the nuts in at the end (about last hour or so), otherwise they don't add as much to the dish. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.

Light Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2013
We used half wheat and half white flour, 3/4 C applesauce, no oil, and half a small package of regular vanilla pudding. So so yummy. going in the recipe box. Also for the first time I used a real pumpkin left over from Halloween. I was a little hesitant because it seemed stringy, but was a hit with these muffins.

Gramma Momo's WW Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2013
We love this! I use 1 1/2C milk and omit the sugar. I make a caramel syrup similar to kneaders (warm equal parts brown sugar: heavy whipping cream: corn syrup) so I cut the sugar from the pancakes and don't know the difference because of the syrup. Thanks for sharing!

Pioneer Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
Who really uses teaspoon size cookies? Made mine much larger and got just over 2 dozen. Very tasty. Follow other reviews to moisten the raisins in some water and to use a little more oats and a little less flour, also used 1/2 C milk instead of 1/4. These were great for an eggless cookie. Thanks for sharing.

Pork Chop Potato Casserole

Made this with 4 chops and that was plenty. Seemed like it needed a little kick, but my family enjoys spicy.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
Our absolute favorite way to use old bananas. Have made this now with sour cream and with yogurt. Sour cream is by far the winner. We also use less sugar (about 1/2C of brown sugar) and I substitute the oil for apple sauce strait across. We usually double and make a pan of 12 muffins and one loaf of bread. The muffins cook in our convection oven for 25 min and the loaf usually 45-50. Love this one and almost have it memorized!

Baked Three Cheese Eggplant

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2012
Excellent dish. 5 star taste, however it came out really watery-even after I drained water after cooking the veggies and I let it sit in the oven longer. I added extra veggies (broccoli and zucchini), used frozen spinach, and extra sauce and cheese. I also added some italian seasoning to the veggies. We just happened to have some pepperoni, so I put little pieces on the top. Yum yum

My Mom's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
I substituted apple sauce for the shortening. For the frosting I went with mixed berries and whip cream. Very Very delicious! This is a keeper.
