Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
I used a chocolate pudding in the mix cake mix. The cookies taste so good and it was super easy. I thought about omiting the raisons, but I left them in and I am glad I did. I added 1/4 cup of water (like another reviewer added water) and liked using slightly less dense batter.

Indian Chicken Curry II

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
This is great! Tastes like something you could order at a fancy Indian restaurant. I am glad I didn't let the coconut milk ingredient scare me off. Turns out it was easy to find. I highly recommend this one! Oh- I almost forgot, I added twice as much chicken as called for and there was planty of sauce for it all.

Festive Tossed Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
I got lots of compliments on this when I served it at a birthday party. The only thing I did differently was use one and a half heads of torn red leaf romaine lettuce because it was much cheaper than buying two bags of salad. Oh- and I did not toss the dressing into the salad, I served it seperately.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
Great recipe. However, I think half the chocolate and shortening called for would cover a pound of strawberries. I had a lot of the chocolate mixture left over. Wasted.

Texas Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
Loved this! I used a bag of coleslaw greens from the store and added the dressing to it. I also used a bit less cayenne than called for. The taste of cumin and lime are delicious. This is the dressing recipe that I will always use from here on out.

Tuna Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2004
Was the best I've ever tried, but was a little too crumbly (not creamy) to get 5 stars. I would add some sour cream and maybe another can of cream of something to it. I left out the carrot but added some chopped onion to the mix. The fried onions on top were delicious! Oh and I will also use less than 12 oz. pasta next time.

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2005
My husband and I really like this. I added some cumin and garlic salt to the meat and also used less than 4 cups cheese.

Honey Coconut Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
I used only a half cup of butter, because it seemed to call for so much! I lessened the other ingredients a little as well to compensate. The taste was terrific, my husband really liked it. But, the whole marinate it for 30 minutes thing was not a good idea. When I took it out of the fridge the butter sauce was just a clumpy congealed mess. Next time I think I'll skip the marinade time and just pour the warm sauce straight onto my salmon and put it straight into the oven. We'll see how that works.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
I also was let down by all the fabulous reviews about this cake. I was expecting something amazing and it simply was not. It tasted okay, but not something I would make again.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
I didn't care for this bread. After reading the reviews I realized that a lot of the people who rated this highly added cinnamon and other spices. Well duh then it would be better! I wish I had added spices but I made it just as the recipe reads. It is not sweet enough nor does it have the flavor I associate with banana bread because all the spices are missing.
