Warm Apple Buttermilk Custard Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2004
I made this pie for Thanksgiving and everyone thought it was delicious. It was very sweet, but very good. My only concern was that it did not slice like a pie. I expected a firm custard. We sp-ooned it out instead. I will definitely make this again.

Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
I made this for the first time one week ago. Easy recipe but was a tad too sweet. I decided to try it again yesterday. This time I used 5 jalapenos, one large red pepper and 3 shakes of crushed red pepper. Much better this time. The sweetness was gone but it was not so hot that you couldn't eat it. I plan to make a 3rd batch and will add yet another jalapeno. Quick and easy recipe. Makes great gift for give-aways during the holidays. Thanks for the recipe!

I made this the other day for dinner and my family loved it. My husband and I are cutting back the fat in our diets so I made the following changes: I used ground turkey instead of ground beef and I used skim milk instead of whole milk. Turned out delicious!!!!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
I saved this recipe a few years ago and decided to finally make it over the weekend for my husband's birthday. All I can say is this was the easiest, most delicious cheesecake I've ever made. My husband, who isn't very big on sweets, thought it was absolutely delicious. No cracking, just perfect!!!! I highly recommend this cheesecake recipe. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
Let's just say that after I made the first batch I had to run out and buy more ingredients to make a second batch. I'm currently dieting my my DH and kids said this was "the bomb". I did what I always do- I added my own touch by adding a tablespoon of A-1 steak sauce. served on soft hawaiin soft buns. Definitely a keeper!

Strawberry Dream Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2006
This cake was AWESOME! I made this for my sister's birthday today and everyone loved it. My mom and husband are my toughest critics and they both said it was delicious. I took the advice of others and cooled the white chocolate mixture before adding the whipped cream; therefore, I had no problems with the frosting. This is definitely a gourmet dessert without the effort. I will definitiely be making this cake on a regular basis. Simply awesome!

Jalapeno Popper Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
I made this for my husband's birthday and doubled the recipe because I had a total of 9 people . The doubled recipe filled 15 phyllo cups perfectly. This was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! The only change was I used real bacon insted of bacon bits. My husband thought they were great and he is not too found of spicy foods. Definitely a keeper. You can easily prepare the filling a day in advance. I'll be serving these at gatherings for years to come!

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
I just made a batch of these for a dinner party for a friend. My hubby and I are on a dietbut they looked so temting we decided to split one. OMG!!! These are to die for!!! They were so moist and delicious. I used my own cream cheese icing recipe that uses 1 tsp of vanilla and 1/2 tsp of orange extract. The mild orange flavor complemented these nicely. Too easy and too delicious not to make!

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Ok, I'm hooked and convinced. I tried this for Thanksgiving and my turkey was delicious!!!! It was so moist and juicy. My husband said this is definitely a winner and it was soooo easy!! My brother in law, a former cook, raved about how good it was. I admit, I was a bit of a chicken and only used 1 1/4 cup of the Kosher salt because I was worreied it might be salty. It was perfect and I could tell that the extra 1/4 C of salt would have been just fine. I will be brining my turkey for Christmas too! Thanks for such an awesome recipe.

Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2012
I made this cobbler yesterday after a customer requested a peach cobbler. I had never made one before so naturally I was nervous. This recipe is AWESOME!! So easy to follow and it looked so good I decided to make one for myself. My kids have already devoured 1/2 of it and its only been out of the oven 20 minutes. I took the advice of others and increased the fruit. I used one 29 oz can AND one 16 oz can of peaches. I used 3/4 cups of juice and it was perfect!!
