Cheesy Potato Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
My two toddlers, husband and I all enjoyed this soup! It was cheesy, velvety and hearty. I snuck in some carrots. I steamed them in the microwave. Then I pureed them with a little of the potato water and a big spoonful of cooked potato chunks. It was a great way to add more vitamins... and it thickened the soup also. I served this with some homemade bread and a salad with bleu cheese & garlic vinaigrette. It was a fantastic meal for a cold night.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
I can't tell you how this recipe has changed my thoughts on breadmaking! I bought a breadmaker and then tried a handful of recipes from the booklet that came with it. They all sounded delicious. The problem was that I had about a 20% success rate. I would do the same things, with the same ingredients and get a different result. NOT WITH THIS RECIPE! I followed it and it worked. And it worked every single time. Thank you for this!

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
This is my very favorite breakfast casserole! My mom would make this every year for Christmas morning and Thanksgiving morning. I am so happy to find the recipe! And, this heats up well in the microwave. I make it almost every week. I take a slice to work for lunch. I pair it with a mixed field greens salad and some fresh fruit. It is a delicious, easy, healthy lunch option.

I had never attempted cornish game hens before, and I was more than a little apprehensive. But this recipe was perfect! My husband was in awe and I thought they were truly delicious. I will definitely make them again ... this time for company.

I love this chowder! I have made it every Sunday for several weeks. My husband and I take it took work for lunch all week long. It is so easy and really delicious. My hubby thought it tasted like "restaurant quality" soup. I mix in lots of different veggies and it is always great!

I was very timid about microwaving shrimp, but I trusted other reviews and forged ahead. This was extremely simple and very delicious. I am amazed microwave shrimp could taste this good and this authentic. This is a must try for a quick weekday dinner!

Spicy Shrimp Creole

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2004
I had been searching for a simple, delicious peel-and-eat spicy shrimp recipe ... and this one fits the bill! I cannot stress how easy it was to prepare. To make it easier, I made the first 8 ingredient measurements equal at 1 teaspoon. All my friends have requested this recipe several times since I made it!

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2004
I loved the simplicity of this recipe. I used a large jar of sliced banana pepper rings. My husband and I are eating low carb, so this was a fun way to spice up a roast. I sauteed mushrooms, green pepper and a little onion and put that over large chunks of the roast. Then I melted provolone cheese over the top. It was tasty, easy and delicious!

I thought this recipe was easy to prepare, inexpensive and a great meal to come home to on a weekday. I would add some more veggies next time ... but my husband and I both enjoyed the flavor and the ease of cooking. It was great re-heated for lunch the next day!

Old Fashioned Sicilian Succo

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
I made this for a holiday family get-together and heard only rave reviews! I was short two cans of tomato paste, so the sauce was a little thinner than it was supposed to be. The meatballs had great flavor! (They didn't taste like balls of meat, but like wonderful italian meatballs.) I plan to make this for a dinner party later in the month. It is simple, inexpensive and absolutely delicious!
