Pasta, lefse, sour cream cut out cookies, sugar cookie cut outs, anything chocolate. Bread making. Making maple syrup!
My cooking triumphs
Friends asking for the recipes of the foods I have made. Getting my husband to expand his liking of different foods. Getting dinner on the table! I love it when our son says he likes what I have made and thanks me for dinner! Having my parents and in-laws love what was served for dinner and excited to take any leftovers home!
My cooking tragedies
Burning my lip on a wet hot noodle, wrist burn from making popcorn on the stove top. Overflowing train cup cake mold all over the oven and on the dog as trying to clean up!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad
The salad is marinating in the frig right now, but from what I tried it is good! I doubled the ginger and sesame seed oil in the recipe. I added orange pepper, water chestnuts and sugar snap peas. I would make this again. Looking forward to guests trying it to tell me what they think!

All-Day Apple Butter
This turned out wonderful! I used wolf river apples which are good for baking. I did adjust after reading some reviews. I used 2 cups white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar. I added the juice from one lemon. I also grated fresh nutmeg into the mix. I cooked the full crock pot on high for two hours and then turned it to low, stirring from time to time. I think it was on from about 10 am until 8pm. I had cut the apples pieces pretty small hoping they would cook down more quickly. That seemed to help. At the end I used my emulsion blender to smooth it out a little more. I know I will make this again! Both my boys loved it and the 9 year old wanted to take some to bed! I guess he liked it!

Jeanne's Chocolate Kiss Cookies
Cookies were good. Especially straight out of the oven. Our kids liked them and enjoyed the different flavored kisses we tried with the dough. I prepared the recipe as it was written. No changes. A little dry the next day, which I was hoping they would still be a little chewy. Would try again!
