Pumpkin Dip

This was just okay. Maybe I had too high of expectations, but I thought this would have more flavor. i wasn't really impressed and neither was my boyfriend. I don't think i would make this again. It was just missing something.

Pasta with Fresh Tomato Sauce

I love this recipe and I make it when my girlfriends come over (who are vegetarians). The only suggestion I have is to use good seasonings italian dressing (made with balsamic vinegar). great dish and very colorful!

Tangy Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

I have made this salad twice and I love it! I know that the salad dressing sounds a bit odd, but try it!! I think it is fabulous! Great combination of flavors!

Simple Garlic and Basil Pesto

I made this exactly as called for, but felt it needed a little extra oil and salt. I added this to Creamy Pesto Shrimp recipe on this site. The result was awesome!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

delicious recipe! I only used 3 pieces of chicken, but kept the same amount of sauce. I put 2 pieces of cheese in each breast w 1 slice of ham. I also used 2 boullion cubes. Not the healthiest of recipes, but def yummy!!

Creamy Rice Pudding

delicious rice pudding. I cooked it for a long time, and used whole milk, but it never got to the creamy consistency that I like it at. I may try adding heavy cream next time and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise, the flavors were terrific together and everyone loved it!

Swordfish a la Siciliana

I made this recipe for my boyfriend and his bestfriend. The topping is fantastic! Lots of flavor! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfect. The house smelled amazing! They kept asking what was in the topping, so many different flavors, but they went together perfect. I will def. be making this one again! Thank you!

Salmon with Creamy Dill Sauce

I tend to like my salmon with a sweeter sauce but my husband loved this. i follwed the directions and it was super easy. It does make a lot of sauce, so I would halve it next time.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

I give this 4 stars but my husband gave it 5 and even asked for the recipe to make for the guys at the firehouse. I personally did find it a little on the saltier side. That might be eliminated by using real bacon though. I did follow the directions, but I used 2 10 oz pkgs frozen spinach instead of canned, I used milk instead of half &half, and for the italian seasoning I used the good seasonings italian blend for salad dressing. All in all it was a good dinner and I will probably make it again. It was also pretty easy to make. I made the sauce while the chicken was cooking and started to arrange the spinach mushrooms( you really could use a 8oz sliced mushrooms and it would be fine) and sauce in the 9x13. It was great as leftovers for lunch the next day too!

Cranberry Muffins

good muffins. I split the difference of the nutmeg with cinnamon and it was perfect. The batter was very think and dense so I added a tbsp of milk to thin it a little. I did not use the topping. I also did not chop the cranberries, but that didn't seem to make a difference. They were still soft. I did keep an eye on them while they were baking. I baked 12 regular size muffin and 3 large muffins for about 14 min.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

My husband made this for dinner and it was so great! He made it with Turkey Keilbasa and it did not dry out, although it only cooked in the crock pot for 1.5-2 hrs on high. The second time I made it, it was for work. I didn't realize that the onions were suppose to be cooked before putting in the crock pot. I had no choice but to cook everything for 4 hrs, and by then the turkey keilbasa was a little on the dry side. I didn't think it was even half as good as when my honey made it. The people at work didn't seem to mind though. It was gone within the hour and it was a double batch. By the way...it smells so great when its cooking!!!

Fettuccine Alfredo V

This recipe for alfredo was pretty good, but still not thick enough for me. I did use the hard cheese that I shredded (Stella) and in the frying pan it looked like it would be thick enough but once I tossed it with the pasta it was thin and it didn't seem like it was quite enough sauce for the whole box of pasta. The cheese sauce itself was really great and had a lot of flavor in the pan, but once added to the pasta, it seemed to loose that flavor. I'm thinking that this would havae been perfect with a thinner pasta like angel hair instead of fettucini.

Tomato Enchilada Bake

What a great and easy recipe! I did add some salt for taste in the filling. Otherwise I kept everything the same. I did find that it only made and fit 4 tortillas in a 9x13. This was plenty of food though for my husband and I. I could barely even eat one. It made for great left-overs.

Spicy Bean Salsa

This was a pretty decent dip, but I wasn't a huge fan of the italian dressing...just wasn't mexican flavored enough for me. I think I'll keep looking for a great bean salsa
