German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2003
This is a great cake! You really don't need any frosting at all. The only thing is the time it takes to dice the apples (we did the dicing pretty small, worked well), but that is certainly NOT the recipie's fault! YUMMY! Even my fiance who is a true chocolate and frosting junkie liked this cake. Very good and easy. Thanks for the recipie!

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2003
This is a great recipie. I made the following changes: My husband grilled the chicken (yum!), and I used Velveeta cheese for the casserole, and colby cheese to top it with. I also added a can of sliced mushrooms. This was a hit at my informal dinner party for four. Very Good! Thanks!

OU Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2003
When I doubled this recipie, I accidently added 4 cans of creamed corn instead of "2 and 2." It turned out perfectly! I baked it in a 9x13 pan for a little bit longer, but it was worth it! I took it to a Thanksgiving carry-in at my work, and everybody raved about it! People sought me out for the recipie and to tell me how good it was! Thanks for the recipie!!!

Pecan Bars II

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2003
This recipie sounded good, so I tried it...I used dark brown sugar, and I didn't have parchment paper, so I used cooking spray. I also used Milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet because they are my fiance's favorite. They turned out Great!!!! Totally easy. I made one pan, and now I have to make another to give as gifts. Allow for time for the choco. chips to solidify. My fiance couldn't...they were half gone before I realized the chocolate WOULD solidify ;) Thanks for the EASY, tasty recipie. I will definately make these again...Tonight!

Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2003
Pretty good...The cranberries were really good and simple. I may even use that part to make real cranberry sauce next Thanksgiving...yummm. I tried it with dark brown sugar because that's what I had on hand. It made them look more done than they should have, but they tasted great. I will most likely make this again.

Blackberry Jam Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2004
I forwarded this recipie to my Mom, who made it for "cards with the girls." It was a smash hit! She added some of the jam to the frosting for flavor and color. A hit!

This was okay, I think I will try to make it again with tomato soup. This just tasted like spagetti to me. Definately finance friendly!!!

Real Southern Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
I, being a Yankee, loved this recipie. Easy and not too sweet. My Husband, who swears by his mother's authentic Southwestern cornbread (a very similar recipie), did not like the texture- he said the texture was too much like the sweet cornbread. Oh well, I will make this again anyway, I loved it!

VERY GOOD... Made today for Thanksgiving dinner...lots of raves. Could have added more pecans (to taste, I guess) and I took the advice to bake for 10min at 350 then 50min at 300...perfect results!! I will definately make again!

Caramel Frosting VI

This tasted great - used on a butter pecan boxed cake mix. This is what I was looking for- but it really is more of a glaze- very tasty!
