This is so good! I didn't have caraway seeds so I substituted fennel, and I didn't have fresh buttermilk so I substituted powdered, and since many reviewers suggested using less raisins I used only two cups. My kitchen smells heavenly, and I couldn't resist cutting into the loaf while it was still warm. Delicious, easy and I will definitely make this again and again! Lovely on a rainy day like today, and I plan to serve it with corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight. Thank you Penguin Lady for sharing this wonderful recipe.
